www.citizenjournalism.uk is a project with an aim to cover all areas of the United Kingdom with hyperlocal journalism websites. As an example, here is a website for Swansea: www.swansea.press
If you would like to help this project please get in touch. Help can be anything from writing articles, blogs, videos, editing, suggestions, comments - all help is appreciated.
If there is not yet a website covering your area then just let us know and we will create the site and help support you (really easy to use).
All websites are connected. As an example, a post on one website would automatically show up on its neighbouring website. Register on one site and you're automatically registered on every website in the network enabling you to interact. A social network is also in development.
The project is NON PROFIT. Unlike other media websites, we do not run commercial advertisements.
We have no advertisers to answer to. We have no shareholders to answer to. We are an independent self funded project with the aim to help empower local communities through citizen journalism.
