The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology announces the suspension of in-person classes at all levels until Monday, 25th November 2024, for schools in:
๐ Benque Viejo del Carmen Town
๐ San Ignacio and Santa Elena Town
๐ Surrounding villages of Benque Viejo and San Ignacio/Santa Elena Towns
Where possible, schools in these areas are encouraged to transition to online or distance learning during the suspension period.
Classes in the rest of the country will continue on their regular schedules. Managing Authorities are asked not to penalise teachers and students for absences or tardiness related to weather or road conditions in their communities.
