CFAPD - Feb Half Term ✨🐴

What a day … A lovely group of girls, who I have the pleasure of teaching, having a taste of what it’s like to be a real equestrian! BUT the question is … Were they put off!?? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

We divided the children into smaller groups, based on their height/weight and rotated them round the different activities; Grooming, mucking out, field management & tack cleaning. Smaller groups allow them to get stuck in with the activity and ask any questions they may want to know.

We always finish the session with a small, quiet ride as keeping the ponies fit and stimulated is very important, as part of caring for horses. Another nice thing about CFAPD, the children may occasionally be offered another pony to ride and look after, to the one they’d usually ride for their lessons. This can really help with their confidence and trust.

*Keep your eyes peeled for our Easter CFAPD dates. We usually run one session a week, so as long as the demand is there, we will offer multiple sessions during the two week, Easter break * 🐣🌼🐥

Christmas 2024!! 🎅🏼🎄⛄️

What a day we had … thank you so much to those of you that booked on to celebrate Christmas with us!

We hope the children enjoyed riding our ponies and seeing Santa … while the parents tucked into the mince pies (or brownies) & mulled wine!! 🍷🥧

What you can expect …
🐴 Ponies dressed in the Christmas spirit
🎅🏼 Meet Santa & receive a small gift
👩🏼‍💼Staff on hand to accompany the rider

☕️ A warm hot chocolate & marshmallows for the children after their ride

🚨To book our Christmas event, please contact us directly, by messaging us on social media. You will be asked to provide us with your child’s full name, age and contact details. At the time of booking we require a full payment of £40pp and payments are non-refundable or transferable. Children must be 4yrs+ and be confident enough to take part. Parents can either join us on foot or they can wait in the car with a hot drink. Riders of all abilities will be accompanied by our staff onsite. Please note, we can only cater for 5 riders during our 60 minute time slots and we are only looking to run 4 sessions on this day. We would strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment, as we are only catering for 20 riders across the day. Ponies will be allocated accordingly, to accommodate the riders height/weight.

OCTOBER HALF TERM CFAPD 🐴

& that’s our final session of 2024 …

A fantastic day with these enthusiastic, horsey lovers! … We just love how a group of girls that don’t know each other, all get on so well, through sharing the same interest … PONIES!

Thank you all for being so lovely and kind and as always being a fab group to teach!

For those interested, our next “CARE FOR A PONY DAY” will be February half term, 2025.

The best afternoon with a great group of girls! … The children have been learning all about grooming and making the ponies look pretty. We’ve learned all about the importance of poo picking the fields and ended the session with a pony ride! … Thank you all so so much for being so lovely and full of enthusiasm around the ponies and how to care for them! We hope to see you back on our next Care For A Pony Day in October half term 🐴🤎
