University of South Florida men's basketball coach Amir Abdur-Rahim died Thursday at the age of 43, the school announced.

Abdur-Rahim was undergoing a medical procedure at a Tampa-area hospital when he died due to complications that arose during the procedure, the school said.

We are completing Week 2 of school (Day 10). It is important to us to have students in school and on time. Our district is cracking down on attendance and it is very important that you understand the Truancy Policy. Not only are absences tracked intensely this year, but tardies and checkouts as well.
