Strawberry 🍓 Creme Fraiche Ice Cream🍦👅
You can make Homemade creme fraiche with fresh cream and buttermilk. There’s a story in my highlights on how to make it yourself, but if you don’t want to, you can buy creme fraiche at most any grocery store.
Here’s the recipe:

Strawberry Crème Fraiche Ice Cream
Makes: 1 quart
Ingredients:
2 cups ripe strawberries, hulled and sliced
½ to ¾ cup maple syrup or unrefined sugar (depending on sweetness of strawberries)
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup Crème Fraiche
1 egg yolk (preferably pasture raised)
1 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla
pinch of salt
Directions:
Purée the strawberries with the maple syrup or sugar in a food processor. Add the cream, crème fraiche, egg yolk, lemon juice, vanilla, and salt and pulse until combined. Refrigerate, covered, until thoroughly chilled.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. After churning, the ice cream will be soft but ready to eat. For a firmer texture, transfer to a freezer container and freeze for at least 2 hours.
