I thought of him as a man hope
But cannot be moved
Despite the tears flowing like hose
But to some he was just a patient

His wife and children drown in tears
With no one to care
Masked in the shadow of fear
Who will share the burden he beats

To his family an iroko has fallen
Who will stand when others are taking
The tears continued pouring
Who will stop the landlord from knocking

He would have waited for a while
Maybe till age ninty-nine
He left without a sign
The promises all denied

He was not just a patient
Like rain drops
We feel his pain
