Super Cool! My first kill using the F-15. This was not a guns only fight. I just don't know how to arm and fire missiles yet. When you see me first fire the gun, that is because I finally figured out how to select and fire it. Heck, I didn't even have a target lock or any kind of range indicator on the weapon. had to keep trying to lead him and see where my shots went based on distance. So go ahead and tear this one up. I am super happy. Progress was made today.

So, I've been practicing dogfighting against a P51 Mustang. Me in an F18. This sounds like it would be easy but these Mustangs are crazy maneuverable and can take many hit. Nearly got my tail shot off when I misjudged a roll in.

So this is fun. Apparently, some Russian aircraft will allow you to do a tarmac squat. Haven't tried this on all the aircraft, but would love to see others with a larger catalog give it a try.

First full run of our new DCS mission recreating the 1980 classic movie, The Final Countdown. In the movie a modern aircraft carrier goes through a time wormhole back to attack on Pearl Harbor. While the movie [spoiler] doesn't deliver the goods, allowing us to see the defense of Pearl Harbor, modern technology allows us to do our best to recreate it in a sim. Enjoy! 😁

With everyone putting up videos of their boat launches, I figured I'd share this one of me pulling my boat a few years back at Lake Charlevoix, MI. As you can tell, the water is way below the ramp. Luckily, I had a few ranch hands to bring her to the stable. For you gear heads, yes this is a 74" Bronco and yes the rear wheel seals on this Ford allow water past and into the differential. To deal with that, I welded a drain plug low on my differential. After a deep pull like this, I would let her set for an hour or so, open the drain and the water would come out. Because oil and water separate, the oil sits on top and lets you drain the water from beneath. Top off the gear oil and I was ready to go. (Next, I will share a video from the only time this didn't go well.)
