One killed in rollover crash in Redlands.
On Friday, May 5th, 2023, at about 9:51 PM, CHP, Redlands Fire, Redlands PD, and AMR responded to a rollover crash on the Westbound 10 Freeway, East of California St in Redlands. Redlands PD arrived at the scene and located a single vehicle that had come off the freeway and rolled down the right shoulder embankment. One occupant was unconscious and not breathing. CPR was started and the party was transported in unknown condition but believed to have passed at the hospital. A total of 3 ambulances were requested. According to a witness, the vehicle was racing another vehicle but that was not confirmed. CHP believed that none of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts. No other information was provided at the scene.

On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023, at about 11:52 PM, CHP received a report of a hit and run on the Northbound 215 Freeway, just South of University Parkway in San Bernardino. While dispatchers were talking with the female victim, she stopped answering questions. Additional calls reported that a semi-truck had struck the vehicle from the hit-and-run. CHP arrived at the scene, located the female unconscious and not breathing, and began CPR. County Fire and AMR arrived shortly later and declared her deceased. A car seat was located in the victim’s car but luckily, no child was located and was not believed to be in the vehicle The female semi-truck driver stayed at the scene and was extremely distraught. No other information was provided at the scene.

On April 23rd, 2023, at around 2:30 AM, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was in pursuit of a possible DUI driver in the area of 60 and Pedly Rd in Jurupa Valley. The suspect exited the freeway and continued on surface streets before entering the 60 Freeway going Eastbound in Westbound lanes at Valley Way. Shortly after entering the freeway going the wrong way, the suspect crashed head-on with a white Tesla causing major damage to both vehicles. The driver of the white Tesla had to be extricated from the car before being transported to a local hospital with major injuries. The suspected DUI driver was evaluated at the scene by paramedics before being taken into custody. No other information was provided at the scene.

On April 23rd, 2023, at about 1:16 AM, Riverside CHP received a call from a tow company advising that one of their drivers was on the EB 91 Freeway, West of 14th St, loading a pickup truck and a trailer in a blind corner. While on the phone, a Ford Mustang collided with the U-Haul trailer causing the trailer to spin around. CHP, Riverside City Fire, and AMR arrived at the scene and located one party with minor injuries. Luckily the tow driver was not struck. It’s unknown if the party that was injured was in the Mustang or with the pickup truck and was struck outside of the vehicle by the trailer or Mustang. No other information was provided at the scene.

On April 23rd, 2023, at about 12:59 AM, CHP, San Bernardino County Fire, and AMR responded to a reported traffic collision on the Northbound 215 Freeway, just north of 5th St. in the City of San Bernardino. AMR was first on the scene and reported a two-car collision with one vehicle on fire. Two people were transported, one with major injuries, and one with minor to moderate injuries. County Fire arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. No other information was provided at the scene.

On April 21st, 2023, at about 11:41 PM, CHP, Colton Fire, and AMR responded to a reported traffic collision on the EB 10 Freeway to the 215 Connector. Colton Fire arrived at the scene and located one party deceased in the roadway and 3 other vehicles involved. No other parties were transported. CHP closed the transition road while they investigate the fatal crash. According to witnesses, a person ran across the road and was struck.

On March 27th, 2023, at about 11:31 PM, CHP, County Fire, and AMR were dispatched to reports of a traffic collision at Jurupa Ave and Larch Ave in the community of Bloomington. County Fire arrived at the scene and located a single vehicle through a chainlink fence and striking a wall and RV. The driver was trapped in the vehicle with major injuries. The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital with CPR in progress. The driver was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. No other information was provided at the scene. CHP is investigating the crash.

On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at about 11:36 PM, San Bernardino CHP arrived at a vehicle stopped on the side of the Southbound 215 Freeway, South of Baseline St. After Investigating the vehicle, officers observed a female suffering from a gunshot wound in the leg. County Fire and AMR responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. A bullet hole can be seen on the driver’s door and a shell casing was also located on the shoulder about 250 Feet South of Baseline St.

On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at about 12:29 p.m., deputies assigned to Central Station observed a red Honda sedan in the city of Loma Linda, which had previously been reported stolen.

Deputies attempted a traffic stop and the driver of the Honda, later identified as Louie Marquez, fled northbound on Mountain View Avenue toward the 10 freeway. Marquez entered the westbound 10 freeway and reached speeds above 100 miles per hour. Marquez sideswiped a vehicle on the transition from the westbound 10 freeway to the northbound 215 freeway. Deputies remained in pursuit when Marquez exited the 215 freeway and continued to flee on the city streets of San Bernardino. Marquez eventually lost control of the Honda and was involved in a traffic collision near South I Street and West Bellview Street. Marquez fled from the Honda and was eventually apprehended. A marked Sheriff’s patrol vehicle was also involved in a traffic collision at the conclusion point of the traffic pursuit. The deputy was able to exit prior to the patrol unit catching fire. San Bernardino City Fire extinguished the flames, and the deputy was transported to a local hospital where he was released a short time later.

Marquez was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center for felony evading with disregard for safety.

Driver rescued from burning SUV after crashing into the rear of a semi-truck trailer. The crash occurred at 3:05 AM in the 15400 Block of Arrow Blvd in Fontana on March 5th, 2023. Fire crews arrived to find a burning SUV with the driver still trapped inside. Crews immediately started to extinguish the fire which had spread to the trailer full of wooden pallets. A tow truck was requested to pull the SUV from the trailer with the driver still inside after attempts were made to remove the SUV with a fire engine failed. After an hour the driver was finally extricated and transported in an unknown condition.

A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian early Sunday morning in Fontana.
The collision occurred at about 1:24 AM, Sunday, March 5th, near the intersection of Citrus Ave, North of Baseline Ave, in the City of Fontana.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The vehicle that struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene.
Citrus Ave will be closed in both directions while officers conduct the investigation.

On March 5th, 2023, at about 3:43 AM, CHP Riverside received multiple reports of a wrong-way driver traveling Westbound in Eastbound lanes on the 91 Freeway at 14th. St.
The wrong-way vehicle continued at a high rate of speed in the HOV lane until about 3:50 when a multiple-car collision occurred in the Eastbound lanes of the 91, just East of the 15 Freeway.
As a result of the collision, 2 people were killed.
The Eastbound traffic is being diverted into the fast track lanes while officers investigate the crash.

On Tuesday, February 28th, 2023, at about 12:45 AM, San Bernardino County Fire responded to a reported commercial structure fire near Highland Ave and Eucalyptus Dr. in San Bernardino.
The first arriving engine observed an abandoned tire shop with heavy smoke from the roof.
Minutes later, the entire roof was engulfed with flames.
Firefighters took a defensive posture to extinguish the blaze.
While fighting the fire, a large portion of the facade almost came crashing down on two firefighters.
Luckily the captain noticed seconds before and both were able to escape before the collapse.
No injuries were reported.
An investigator was requested to determine the cause of the fire.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail continued their investigation in the murder of Christina Conti. In September 2022, detectives identified the suspect as 20-year-old Kalvin Streeter but his whereabouts were unknown.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 1:06 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the area of Nisqualli Road and Mariposa Road for a BMW that was stolen out of Arizona. During an area check, deputies located the vehicle near Green Tree Boulevard and Burning Tree Drive and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle traveled on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15, and southbound Interstate 215, for approximately 27 miles. The pursuit ended when the driver lost control, left the freeway, and crashed into a residence.

After a short foot pursuit, deputies detained two suspects. The driver was identified as Floyd Walker, and the passenger was identified as Kalvin Streeter. Streeter and Walker were both arrested and booked in at the West Valley Detention Center. Two ghost guns were found in the vehicle and both suspects were booked for carrying a loaded firearm/not the owner, possession of a stolen vehicle, and vehicle theft. Walker was also booked on felony evading and remains in custody on $100,000 bail. Streeter was also booked for murder and remains in custody on a combined bail of $530,000.

Investigators do not believe Walker was involved in the murder.

SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 8, 2022, deputies with the Victorville Police Department responded to reports of shots heard in the 14400 block of Begonia Road. When deputies arrived, they found Christina Conti unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

Investigators with Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail responded and are conducting the investigation. No arrests have been made and no further information is available, at this time.

Arriving deputies located a large party in the backyard of a home. Two victims were located inside the party area. Both victims were transported to a local hospital. On Saturday, January 14, 2023, at approximately 12:46 am, Beaumont Police Officers attempted an investigative stop on a pickup truck. The truck fled which led to a vehicle pursuit. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle entered a cul-de-sac in the 500 block of Xenia Avenue. Upon reaching the end of the roadway the truck turned around and began ramming police vehicles resulting in an officer-involved shooting.

A police officer was injured due to the suspect ramming the officers' vehicles. The officer was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. There were three occupants in the truck at the time of the incident, one occupant had a minor complaint of pain, the driver and a second passenger were transported to an area hospital for gunshot wounds. The driver is in critical condition and the passenger is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No other officers were injured during this incident. There are no outstanding suspects and there is no threat to the public.

The involved officers have been placed on administrative leave per department policy. The names of the involved officers will not be released at this time.

Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Force Investigations Detail arrived to assume the investigation into the Officer Involved Shooting. The first arriving engine located a fully involved garage with an extension into the home and exposure to the neighboring home.
The blaze was under control in about 20-30 minutes.
One person was transported to a local hospital with minor burns to their arms.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

CalFire Riverside County, Jurupa Valley responded to a report of a traffic collision.
When first arriving units arrived, they found a single vehicle on the right side of the road, non injury collision.
While they were working that collision, the fire engine was rear ended by another vehicle, causing major injury to the occupants of the vehicle.
According to CHP, the driver of the black BMW was driving at a high rate of speed in the HOV and fast lane when they lost control, crossing all lanes of the freeway, and crashed into the back of the firetruck.
At least one person from the vehicle that hit the fire truck was pronounced deceased by paramedics.
At this time it is not clear if rain, speed or drugs/alcohol were a factor in the collision.
No fire fighters were injured in the collision.

Units arrived at the scene and located a Corvette with major damage and multiple other vehicles with damage.
The driver of the Corvette sustained minor injuries and was able to walk away from the crash.
According to witnesses, the Corvette was possibly racing at a high rate of speed with a white Corvette at the time of the collision.
The white Corvette did not stay at the scene.
It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved in the collision.
Parts of the Corvette were spread across the freeway for about 1/4 mile.

While en route to the crash, a second vehicle struck the first crashed pickup, trapping the driver of the pickup inside the vehicle.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and extricated the driver.
Both drivers were transported with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Preliminary investigation shows the pickup truck was on the NB 215 Transition to the NB 215 and left the roadway crossing all lanes, and colliding with the center divider.
Shortly after the initial collision, the sedan crashed into the pickup truck.

Press Release from Colton PD:

On October 3rd at approximately 11:26 PM, Colton PD Officers were dispatched to 1316 South Meadow Lane in reference to a possible domestic violence call.

As Colton PD Officers arrived on scene, they could hear gunshots coming from inside an apartment.

CPD Officers located the apartment where the shooting had occurred and began evacuating nearby residents.

CPD Officers made contact with the suspect who initially refused to comply with officers’ commands, and remained inside his apartment.

Through out negotiations, the suspect ultimately surrendered to officers and was taken into custody.

Further investigation revealed the suspect fired several rounds from a handgun while his seven juvenile children were inside the apartment. No one was struck by the suspect’s gunfire.

On Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, at 2:06 AM, CHP, County Fire, and AMR responded to a traffic collision on the Eastbound 10 Freeway, just East of Cedar Ave in Bloomington. Units arrived on the scene to find who vehicles were on fire blocking the 1 and 2 lanes. County fire arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. On further investigation, a body was found in the burned car. A SigAlert was issued due to the fatal crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

On Sunday, September 25th, at about 12:30 AM, Rialto Fire and CHP were dispatched to a reported crash on the Westbound 10 Freeway, East of Cedar Ave, in the City of Rialto. CHP arrived at the scene and located two vehicles, one blocking lanes, and another overturned in the center divider. At least one female was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. A family with a young baby was involved in the crash but all three luckily were not injured.

On September 25th, at about 3:17 AM, CHP, San Bernardino County Fire, and AMR responded to a crash on the Westbound 10 Freeway, just East of Sierra Ave. When units arrived on the scene, they located two vehicles with major damage blocking lanes. One person was declared deceased at the scene and another party was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. A SigAlert was issued for 2 hours for the closure of the 3 right lanes. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

On September 17th at 1:40 AM, San Bernardino County Fire and AMR responded to a traffic collision with extrication near the intersection of N Broadmoor Blvd and E Marshall Blvd in the City of San Bernardino. Units arrived at the scene and located two victims inside a minivan that had crashed into the back of a parked pickup truck. The passenger of the minivan van was required to be cut out of the van. After a 70-minute extraction, the passenger was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. The intersection will be closed while PD conducts the crash investigation.

On Tuesday, September 13th, 2022, at about 1:17 AM, San Bernardino PD, County Fire, and AMR responded to a reported traffic collision with people trapped at the intersection of N. Mountain View Ave and W. Orange St in the City of San Bernardino.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and located a sedan that crashed into the back of a parked truck with one female outside the vehicle and a male passenger still inside the vehicle.
The male was extricated from the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
