Kyle Rittenhouse, age 17, killed 2 people & wounded another last night at a BLM protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He belonged to an armed right-wing militia, & video showed police thank him & give him water prior to the killings. As he and other right-wingers fired into the crowd of peaceful protesters, again police did nothing according to several eye witnesses. Look at this boy's age. Look at his eyes. If you think America's white supremacy and terror is going away if Trump loses in November, this is the sad reality.

Dannielle Brown is the mother of Marquis Jaylen Brown (JB), a Duquesne University student-athlete who died in 2018 after allegedly breaking his dorm window with a chair and jumping out from the 16th floor in the presence of four people - two university police officers, a campus security guard, and a student RA. Over the last two years, Dannielle has been demanding answers to the senseless loss of her son, remarking, "You sat there and watched him do it and did nothing or your hands were on him as he went out that window." On July 4, 2020, Dannielle finalized her will from Washington, DC and came to Pittsburgh with a rocking chair and photos of her son. She has been sitting at Freedom Corner ever since on a hunger strike to seek answers and demand reform.

Dannielle's strike has 3 clear demands:

1. Open an independent reinvestigation into JB's death.
2. Equip Duquesne University police with body cameras.
3. Train all Duquesne University police to handle mental health crises.

The University has responded with an open letter agreeing to her demands, but Dannielle will continue her fast until she sees all changes implemented and gains the answers that provide her son's narrative, not the University's.

In her words to KDKA-TV | CBS Pittsburgh on July 21, 2020, "Four people did not keep my son safe. And that was negligent, that was never the question. I need to understand how negligent they were so I can help reform a system.”

Today, Aug. 6th, 2020, is Day 34 of her hunger strike. She has sat at Freedom Corner through heat waves and rain, consuming only water, and using a restroom at a nearby hotel. From 5-7pm tonight, a "Living Funeral Service" is being held for Danielle and all Mothers who would give their last breath for their child, "for the Mothers when the cameras are not rolling."

There are several ways you can support Dannielle and ensure justice for JB, including donating to help fund her private investigation, her cash app is $Danniex2 - www.justiceforjb.com

The protests in Portland are getting serious. For today’s top news here is a report from protesters at the front lines:

"I need you all to understand how not okay we are in Portland.
I'm going to start by telling you that you're seeing it in the news late. This has been happening for days. They're disappearing BLM supporters at all hours in unmarked vans, and so far, no one knows where they're ending up. I'm watching Twitter, and there are people looking for their missing people. They've been gone for days.
They are trying to scare us.
I also want you to know what tear gas does, specifically to uterus-havers. It causes miscarriages and basically makes you have a heavy, brutal period. Many, many protesters have been talking about this on Twitter and the damage it has done to them. (By the way, if you're not following things on Twitter, you are not as on top of the new cycle as you think you are. You are missing the worst of it right now, and we cannot afford to let that happen.)
They are trying to harm us, permanently.
They are trying to cage us.
If you are not with us, you are against us. If you are not actively talking about this, you are part of the problem. This is nothing less than a complete descent into fascism, and it's all hands on deck.
Because if we don't do this now? This will happen in your city. That poem about the order that came for people in? It's never been more apt, at least not in my lifetime.
Because frankly? Soon they're going to be actively killing us.
I am begging you - Make some noise. Make sure everyone knows what's going on. Make sure everyone is calling the leadership in their city, county, and state. Our mayor has been completely ineffective in the face of all of this, and our governor isn't much better - And it won't get better unless they hear us loud and clear.
What to do:
1. Donate to the ACLU and mutual aid networks in Portland
2. RT and share - optics matter
3. Call your reps and demand action
4. Use your Karen powers for good - stand up, stand out.
5. SERIOUSLY, SPREAD THE WORD, THEY CAME FOR THE PROTESTERS, YOU ARE NEXT
silence is violence here, it is your (yes, you) individual responsibility to say something NOW, before it's too late"
