1.) 1-1-1 𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣
A 1-1-1 rotation consists of one person holding each lane, with two people in the jungle. This IMO provides an optimal balance of damage and sustainability, since you will have a tank, and TWO sidelaners. You will need to choose a sidelaner that can benefit from extra EXP, and one who can benefit from extra gold.
𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙍𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨:
𝙏𝙬𝙤 𝙎𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨:
These two sidelaners must hold top and bot by themselves. You need strong offlaners who can hold their own. Remember, the gold lane will be fighting an offlaner, and the EXP lane will be usually fighting the Marksmen and Tank.(Remember that the EXP and gold lanes are switched for both teams, so if your top is gold lane, then the opponent top is EXP lane) For the EXP lane, you will need an offlaner who can fight efficiently while being lower in income but higher in level. This means you need someone who has an ultimate that is very useful, such as Yu Zhong, Gatotkaca, Silvanna, Helcurt, etc. These offlaners are not heavily item reliant, they have bonuses built into their skills, so you need EXP to maximize the use of those skills. The Gold lane will be occupied by heroes who are dangerous when they get core items. This includes: Zilong(Yes, I know, but he is SCARY with items), Hayabusa(offlaner), Alucard(Again, same with Zilong), Chou(technically can fit both lanes, but a built Chou is scarier), etc. Another thing: If your jungler is followed by a support and not a tank, then one or both offlaners have to be a semi-tank. They have to be a hybrid, ex. Gatotkaca, Ruby, or some other offlaner that is able to initiate with a hard CC, or able to soak up large amounts of damage without dying(Khaleed).
𝙈𝙞𝙙𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙧: The reason I favor this update; it allows mages to be used again. You need a mage/assassin(either or) that has a substantial power spike at level 4. Lancelot and Gusion can midlane, along with a lot of mages: Harley(for his EXCEPTIONAL poking ability), Chang'e(very fundamental ultimate), Pharsa(a bully mage), and more. You need a mage/assassin that can burst, poke, and help in teamfights. The advantage of being in midlane, though without buffs in gold and EXP, is you have access to the lithowanderer(to help you rotate), you have access to either the top or bot, giving you the element of surprise because the enemy does not know where you will gank them, and an early minion wave, which saves you time. Just be careful around the two bushes on the sides.
𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚𝙧: The jungler must take both buffs and help to gank. He/She is followed by either a tank/support. Junglers are mainly assassins with the exceptions of some fighters. They are either buff reliant(Fanny and Ling), or can snowball easily with jungling. To jungle, the target hero must be able to clear jungle fast, scale with the jungling, and have great mobility to chase, and burst to quickly assassinate. In this rotation, the jungler is followed by either a tank or a support. I have read the recent notes, and it details that the jungle monster will recieve 15% damage reduction for each nearby hero, so as long as the jungler plus the tank/support can keep dealing damage, you will be fine with 30% damage reduction(Make sure no one else goes near the jungle monster).
𝙏𝙖𝙣𝙠/𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩: Your team can have one of the two. Nevertheless, your job is to protect the jungler from getting invaded and to initiate teamfights with your hard CC skill. If you are a support, your job is to poke the enemy with your range skills and provide healing if necessary. YOU MUST BUY ROAM. Roam items are important if you want your jungler to snowball.
2.) 2-1-1 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣
This team is used with a marksmen(and if someone in your team can ONLY play marksmen, cough cough Epic and GM)
𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙍𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨:
𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣: Marksmen will be going to the gold lane. Try picking a marksmen that relies on core items(practically every marksmen) to maximize the gold lead that you will get. For example Claude, Wanwan, etc. The tank/support will be going with you, tell them to buy a mask so you can snowball easily. You will fight an offlaner with bonus EXP, so take advantage of the bonus gold you have.
𝙏𝙖𝙣𝙠/𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩: Your team can have one of the two. Nevertheless, your job is to protect the marksmen from getting bursted by assassins and to initiate teamfights with your hard CC skill. If you are a support, your job is to poke the enemy with your range skills and provide healing if necessary. YOU MUST BUY ROAM. Protect your marksmen at all times, and check the bushes for them if they are taking minions to prevent unexpected ganks.
𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚𝙧: Not much, same fundamentals as stated above. Take both buffs, and don't take minions until 3 minutes. The jungler will be alone, so make sure you have good map awareness and the hero you are using can clear creeps fast with high burst skills. Take retribution and jungle.
Jungler Subsection: If you want to play Hanzo, you can play mid and have a support with you. You can choose to eat your own monsters or invade.
Offlaner: Again, not much, just pick an offlaner that can scale with extra EXP. You will be fighting a marksmen with a gold lead, but you will have an experience lead, so make sure to take advantage of that.
𝙈𝙞𝙙𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙧: Pick a mage or assassin with good wave clear, good poke, and usefulness in teamfights. Again, same information as above.
𝘼𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣:
Always prioritize turrets before 3 minutes. Turrets can give you a substantial amount of gold in the early game. Think twice before you take that little creep over hitting the turret. Midlane is harder because the enemy midlaner will usually always stay in mid unless preparing to gank.
Prioritize minions before 3 minutes and 40 seconds. Minions have the bonus experience and gold for the first 3 minutes and 40 seconds. Minions provide more gold than creeps.
