Here is a good tip for December that I am narrating for the City of Niles' December On-Hold message. Worth considering for you too!

Lock Your Car/Take Your Keys
"Since the first of this year a total of 44 vehicles have been stolen in the City of Niles. This is an upward trend from 2019. Almost all of these vehicle thefts occurred because the keys to the vehicles were left in them overnight. The Niles Police Department wants to remind citizens to ensure vehicle keys are not left inside vehicles. Taking this small step to habitually secure your car or truck and take your keys with you will have a huge impact on preventing this type of crime from happening to you. And Please, Make sure your tires and brakes are in good condition this winter. Winterize your car to avoid being stranded due to a break down. Remember Winter is Here . . . are you ready? The Niles Police Department Wishes You a Happy and Stress Free Christmas!"
