Once in a lifetime moment. Never did I ever think I would see this Big Ugly Flying "Fellow" whistling through the length of Poole Bay. Visible from some distance, seeing it arc round over both Old Harry and The Needles was something else!

Here's a shot from Corfe Castle last week. I was just getting home as some photographers were arriving for what looked to be a classic misty Corfe Castle sunrise. It was great to be back out in the middle of the night in my home county, but not quite the same conditions as my last Milky Way shoot in Mexico.

Sneaking out in the middle of the night on my honeymoon. To some this could be suspicious behaviour, but my wife knows me too well 😘
There was no pre-planning, I didn't arrange the honeymoon to be while the MW was visible, I just got lucky 😂
I have a second MW shot from UNICO 20º87º Hotel Riviera Maya in my editing queue, but we will have to wait and see if it worked as well as this one...

With the new year approaching, I've been looking back on 2020 and here's a personal favourite.
It may not be the "best" or most popular image I've taken this year, but this photo means the most to me. 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' and this image resonates with me on a personal level, which goes beyond any technicality of what makes an image.
