Winter is a time for being grateful, both for what we have, as well as for what we can yet achieve. Winter is a time for rest, but not excessive rest. It is a time to enjoy the fruits of our labors, but not a time for gluttony. It is a time for warm conversations, but not a time for complacency. It is a time to be proud, but not a time to be egotistical.
What we do with our time, with ourselves, with our friends, and with our attitudes during the season of winter determines what we will do with the coming spring. We are meant to constantly improve our conditions, ourselves, and our results. We either improve, or we regress, for never do we remain the same. If we do not improve, it is because we do not use our intelligence, our reasoning, and our full potential—and finally, what we do not use, we lose. Through lack of use we may lose our intelligence, reasoning, potential, and strength. And when lack of use, or misuse, costs us these worthy human attributes, we predictably regress.
To those who are prepared for winter’s arrival, let them use winter as they would use spring—to take advantage.

Hey friend,
It's BY FAR one of my favorite months when it comes to business as a freelance.
Keep reading, and you will find out why!
It is known that most businesses do the majority of their revenue and spending in Quarter 4 (Q4).
It is also the time when most businesses plan their marketing/content strategy for 2023.
This is the most opportune time of year to land new brands. This is when you want to be focusing on landing new work, and rekindling relationships with past, happy clients.
Grab ahold of Q4 with these three tips:
Check in with clients you worked with since the beginning of the year that were happy with your service, and present them with the opportunity to work together before the end of the year!
If you're looking to pitch to or work with a brand in Q4 , they are most likely ramping up their ad budget for the Holidays. What does that mean for you? It means that in order for that business to run ads, push content on their social channels, and also drive engagement to their products, they are going to need creative content. That’s where you can come in.
Touch base with clients that you enjoyed working with and tell them that you would love to hop on a 15-minute zoom call to discuss how you can work together in 2023. I personally love turning my happy one-off clients into retainer clients, so this might be a good time for you to share how you would love to be their ‘content partner’ on a monthly/quarterly basis going forward. Make sure to lock them in with a contract!
