Nigerians in New Jersey call for arrest of Bishop who believes in same s*x marriage and was invited to their church to preach.
Members of the Igbo Anglican Church in New Jersey called the police to 'arrest' a clergyman who was invited to their church to preach recently. Their grouse was that the clergyman believes in same-s*x marriage, something they don't approve of.
Videos shared online shows the police in the church to 'pick up' the clergyman who they labelled an "intruder".
The opposing Church members are also seen accusing a white clergyman of coming to "hijack" their church.

Cutebiola shares first salary as special adviser with widows
Skit maker and Senior Special Adviser to the Kwara state government, Abdulgafar Abiola, popularly known as Cutebiola, has supported women with his first salary.
In a post on his instagram handle, he said, “On November 4, 2022 when I saw my appointment as the SSA to the Governor of Kwara State on Creative Industries, I had a strong covenant with God that I will use my first salary in office to support old women and widows”.
“Today, I am indeed glad to have supported 60 women with my first salary in office. I pray that God continue to give me the strength to continue this template”.

I’m confident in APC’s plans for women in Nigeria — Mercy Johnson
Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has said she is confident in the plans of the All Progressives Congress for women and Nigerians.
The actress made this known on Wednesday when she attended the APC women’s rally for Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the party.
Mercy shared photos from the event alongside Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos State, on her Instagram page.
The movie star said activities at the event have renewed her hope that the APC has good intentions for the country.
She captioned the photos, “Earlier today, I joined His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the incredible women leaders that make up the APC ‘Women Presidential Campaign Team’ at the APC women Southwest Rally.
”As a woman, wife to an APC candidate and mother, I am confident in the APC plan for women, which is in line with the 35% affirmative action for women.
”From the goodwill messages and conversations with the women leaders, I was opportuned to hear from the horse’s mouth and I have renewed hope and confidence in the good intentions, great plans and actions to follow for the women of Nigeria and for the people of Nigeria.”

The South East spokesman of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Josef Onoh has said that the much-touted delegation of subordinates by Tinubu to speak at the Chatham House, United Kingdom lecture, was a creative license extended by Asiwaju to empower his team for works ahead after electoral victory. He recalled that, unlike the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar's blackout at the same Chatham lecture, Tinubu's delegation of duty was a core component of leadership in getting work done through others meant to overcome most of his political obstacles and general life's challenges, adding that Tinubu believes in empowering his team and giving them a creative license which also helps to organize for the remaining assignments ahead of campaign trips....

Tinubu delegates El-Rufai, others to answer questions he was asked at Chatham House London.
There was an interesting twist during a Question and Answer session after All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu's speech at the Chatham House in London, today, December 5.
Tinubu who had addressed Nigerians in the diaspora on why he should be elected as President in 2023, delegated questions he was asked on how he would tackle some issues as President after his speech at Chatham House, to members of his party.
The former Lagos State governor asked Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State to answer a question on how his (Tinubu-led) government would address insecurity. He also asked the Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to the question on oil theft.
Tinubu also delegated a former Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State, Wale Edun, to respond to a question on how he (Tinubu) would boost the economy if elected.

Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Monday, December 5, explained why he has refused to appear for live interviews and debates.
Tinubu, who had snubbed a town hall meeting attended by three other leading candidates in the 2023 presidential race on Sunday, December 4, claimed that those inviting him for debates and live interviews are only trying to use him to make money because he’s a marketable individual.

Sophia Momodu Apologises For Celebrating Daughter's Dad, Davido, On 30th Birthday
Sophia Momodu, the mother of singer Davido’s first child, Imade, has apologised publicly for a birthday post she made on her daughter's behalf to mark his birthday.
She issued the apology via Imade’s Instagram account on Tuesday.
This comes after fans slammed her for being insensitive after posting a photo of Davido carrying Ifeanyi, who died last month on her daughter's Instagram account to wish him a happy birthday.
She wrote, “l realise that the earlier post may come across as insensitive and I sincerely apologise as that was not the intention. Imade deeply loves her father and all her siblings, and as a mother, I’m doing my best to guide her through the difficult emotion of grief from the loss of her brother whilst trying to celebrate her father’s birthday. I ask for your consideration and hope that you all can be understanding during these times. Thank you, Sophia Momodu.”
Davido, who is still mourning the death of his son, Ifeanyi, turned 30 on Monday.

Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has said that he doesn't regret stopping the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The All Progressives Congress Delta State governorship candidate who said this during his campaign in Asaba, accused former Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his group of masterminding the impeachment proceeding.

I won’t insult Tinubu to show I don't support him - Fayose
Former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose has said that he won't be insulting presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, to show he's not in support of his ambition.
Speaking in an interview on Channels Television, Fayose noted that despite the political differences some northern governors or politicians have with President Muhammadu Buhari, they don’t resort to abuses.
He described Tinubu as a Yoruba leader, while also adding that he respects Atiku Abubakar of the PDP the same way as the APC chieftain.
The former Governor also stated that he is in support of Southern presidency since President Buhari is about to complete his second term and is from the northern region.

President Buhari reportedly sacks NYSC DG six months after his appointment.
Less than six months after assuming office as the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, President Buhari has reportedly approved the immediate removal of Brigadier-General Muhammad Kukah Fadah, from office as the Scheme’s DG.
Although the reasons for the removal have not been provided by the presidency for the sacking of Gen. Fadah, credible sources in the Villa told PRNigeria that the NYSC boss’s removal is not unconnected with the fact that Fadah has exhibited ‘glaring incompetence’ in the 6 months he has piloted the affairs of NYSC.
Meanwhile, PRNigeria gathered that the ousted NYSC Director General has been asked to hand over to the most senior civil servant in the organisation, who is to act as DG in the interim.
No official statement to this effect has been released.
