When we are in a negative head space it shows in our words and actions. Thankfully, we can control our reality. We have control over our minds/thoughts which influence our actions/behaviors.

Positive thinking begins internally through positive self talk. Think about your internal critic and what it says to you on the daily.
Is it diminishing, harsh and negative?
Is it empowering, hopeful and positive? Whatever your thoughts are, they influence how you feel about yourself, others, and the world. The way you feel is portrayed through your words and actions, which can often get pushed on to others.

By taking control over your thoughts, you take control of your life/reality. This is not an easy task, however it is also not impossible. Through practice and dedication you can learn to focus on the positives and begin to see this positive energy reflect your life.
