Dave Chappelle was performing Sunday night in San Francisco and brought up a special guest. However, the crowd was not feeling the guest and let them both know it.
Dave Chapelle surprised his audience at the Chase Center by bringing up Billionaire and new CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk. As Musk joined Chapelle on stage, the crowd showered him with loud boos. Dave then tried to control the situation by making a few jokes and did his best to quiet down the crowd. Elon Musk was then heard asking Chappelle if that’s the reaction he expected to which Chappelle said, “It sounds like some of the people you fired are in the audience.”
Chappelle continued to joke to break the tension as Elon Musk was seen standing awkwardly. The comedian then asked Musk to say his signature catchphrase from “Chappelle’s show,” “I’m rich, Bitch,” which got some laughs. Chappelle eventually told the crowd there were better ways to protest than booing the Billionaire.
