It’s cover reveal day!

I can’t believe I can show you all the cover of my debut book None Of The Above that is coming out in august! I love it.

I’ve put my heart, soul and biggest questions of myself into this work. To archive what it means to live in between, outside of, and in opposition to the gender binary within the UK. It was such a process to write over 2020/21, and I can’t believe now the world is going to read it. Wooooof.

It would mean so much to me if you would pre order it, as pre orders help authors so much, and I want this book to reach as many people as possible!

chats with Soundworlds about her composition on our adaptation of Town Is By The Sea, the much-loved children's book written by Joanne Schwartz. SOUND ON to listen to a snippet of her work in relation to the below - it really is stunning.

"I was really intrigued by the concept of composing for a story. While I found this process fundamentally different to how I usually write music - a story and images established before their music exists - a pre-existing soundscape really helped me to bring the images of the story into my vision, as if I could be in the town and see the sea myself, and that helped me to write from a place as I would write music from real life places.

The technical elements of recording and mixing myself were a welcome challenge and learning curve for me, and I was well directed and supported by Patrick and Ross at Soundworlds.

I’m especially content with the deep sounds I was able to create with my tambourin à cordes which I think reflect the underground world well. Hearing the final piece as polished up by Ross was really cool, but I felt like I definitely needed to freshen up my ears at this point and have a little break from it! I was glad to receive such positive feedback and am excited about working on similar projects in the future."
