The Iftar Spree continues.. 📍: @khanbabacatering @khanbaba.restaurant 🍴: Mutton Chops Qeema Naan Mutton Pulao Chicken Pulao Mutton Qourma Chicken Qourma Gurr walay Chawal Gurr wali chai O-Rating: 9.6 🙌🏻 The iftar was an invite from a very dear friend, which was catered by the Khan Baba Catering. I have always been in the fan group of their food, and I believe those who have tried it will definitely fall in the same group. The iftar started off with simple fruit chaat and Mini Chicken Samosa, and then there was magic... the chops, naan, qourma, and pulao arrived. This, by far, was the best iftar that I have had this ramadan. The chops are so juicy and tender that you can't even imagine, especially when these are served to you right off the bbq pit. (9.8) The Mutton, the qourma, the legend, the myth..is outstanding..no explanation required. So damn soft, full of flavours, tender, right amount of greasy... I mean, it's super yummy. (9.7) Similarly, the naan is hands down the best mutton naan in Lahore. Thick and crispy with no space left for more stuffing. (9.6) The Pulaos were delcious, too. You dont find such pulao anywhere else. The infused flavours of meat and garam masala are just on another level. It is so integrated with spice and meat stock that you just can't get enough of it. (9.4) The Chicken Qourma was great as usual. Again, the chicken was so soft that it fell apart, left the bone, and melted in mouth just like that. The gravy was full of flavours and thick to the right level. (9.3) We are talking about the national treasures here, guys. Everything is made in desi ghee and cooked to perfection. BRIM Review Time 📍: Brim Burgers 🍴: The Smashed Shroom - 750 The Melt Down - 695 The Chicken Run - 750 The Chicken Chilli Jam - 775 Peri Bites - 495 Dynamite Fries - 695 Commando Fries - 625 💰: Approx PKR 10500 O-Rating: 8.1 Well well well, so a new international burger joint has started serving in Lahore. It is my duty to go and review it. I was accompanied by all my office team and we kinda ordered every type of thing they have. We tried the above the mentioned items and here are the 2 liners for every single one of them. The Smashed Shroom: the over all burger was fine. The buns were so soft n fresh,  holding up all the stuff together. However, the patty felt a bit dry and hard at the edges. 7.5 The Melt Down: better than the smashed one, probably due to the cheese sauce. The buns, again, were very soft and fresh. 7.7 The Chicken Run: Very good classic chicken burger. Fresh n soft buns, good juicy chicken with mild sauces. Better than there beef burgers I would say. 8.1 The Chicken Chilli Jam: very good burger, I must say. Well Hello there... I know it's been a while but wth...here's another one 🤷🏻‍♂️ 📍: 🍴: Triple Dipper (1995) Chicken and Shrimp Fajita (2095) FresMex Bowl (1995) Despite being well known all around the globe, this place couldn't make noise in Pakistan as it was supposed to. Also, i am quite certain that Chilis opened in Lahore a few years back as well but couldn't make it. Still wondering, why !? It is a good place offering good food. Not something to die for but definitely something to satisfy your hunger and cravings. Loved the ambiance, something that you do find at places like this. They've got this not so formal not so casual kinda thing going on. Coming to the food, we had triple dipper for starters - a small platter with 3 starters of your choice which in my case were mini sliders, wings & tenders. All the appetizers were good, fresh, juicy and tasty. Loved the sliders and wings. 7.7 The chicken and shrimp fajitas is a dynamic dish which comes with a number of sides - ranging from tortilla breads, rice, salsa to sauces etc. The flavours are very earthy, herby and spicy. The ones that you usually find in mexican/ spanish food. It is quite fulfilling too. 7.3 The fresh Mex bowl, again a mexican entree, was surprisingly amazing. I actually wasn't relying on that a lot tbh, but it really surprised me. The succulent meat pieces, the rice, beans, cripy tacos, fresh vegies topped with avacado and all...amazing. Lunch Review time 👇🏻 📍: @mandarinkitchenpk 🍴: Beef Baos (PKR 1145) Drum Sticks (PKR 1195) Chicken Szechuan (PKR 1255) Glazed Beef (PKR 1525) Egg fried Rice (PKR 975) O-Rating: 8.1 Great place great food. I tried it late as compared to my friends and family...and all of them praised it..I guess they all were right about this. The ambiance is great, I mean usually the restaurants are designed in a way that they look good at dinner time and they not really think of vibing the place with lunch n all but they have thought it through and its evident. The food is really really nice. A bit over wehlming taste which is actually really good when it comes to chinese food as their flavours are meant to be over powering. The Beef Baos were really amazing...though the beef had a desi touch in it but not too much. 7.6 Drum sticks were really nice. Crispy on the outside and soft and steaming hot on the inside. 7.4 Chicken Szechuan is one of these dishes that everyone has tried. If not more than atleast 2 3 times in their lives and thats why you can easily tell what is good and what is bad. I mean the video speaks for itself, the dish was super amazing. Even the veggies felt fresh, the soft subtle half cooked crunch with soft tender juicy chicken steak cuts topped with spices and herbs...the aroma the taste everything was up to the mark. 8.2 The winner of the show was the glazed beef in sweet soy...what a dish...My God..it is a tsunami of tastes. Sweet glazed the roasted sesame the spices infused in beef and the sweet n sour soy...DAMN !! My all time fav. 8.4 The best thing was that every dish had a completely distict flavour which overpowered the other, your palette quickly embraces the new taste.

Hunting a breakfast in Islamabad is not really a challenge when you this spot near you 👇🏻 📍: @loafologybakerycafe 🍴: Loafology Omelette 💰: PKR 675 Rating: 7.1 It is an Islamabad based restaurant preferably for breakfast. By its name, it is clear. People actually go there to just get their daily share of freshly baked breads and loafs and it's truly amazing. They have opened up their doors for Lahoris as well but definitely it tastes different in Islamabad. Well, the classic 3 egg, tomatoes, spring onions and cheese combo is what they called loafology Omelette. I believe it's the best way an Omelette can be served. Nothing too much and nothing less. Fresh, warm and fluffy bliss served with their freshly baked bread slices is always go to place for me to have breakfast. Never disappointed and always ready to go again ! It's not something you get off the shelves from cookie shops, these are entirely different. No wonder the conventional cookies are tastier and sweeter but, not something you can have daily. Moharram is all about the choice between right or wrong, truth or false, and justice or injustice. This month is not about Shia or Sunni, Muslim or Non Muslim, this month is for whole humanity. It screams that justice, truthfulness and righteousness prevails no matter what. It reminds us that no matter how strong the evil and its allies are, never let your values, beliefs and morals down for it. It's a lesson for whole humanity. The ritual at our home is to make clean, healthy and quality food which we love and distribute it among the starving, hungry, poor and needy. And what is left, is shared with family and relatives. Presenting the worlds best biryani (my mom kept it a little on the less spicy side this time for many people like it that way and we have to distribute so...) Sunday is officialy a family breakfast day, especially for the people who are on the grind whole week. As my wife and I both work and are busy mostly during the weekdays, our family usually treat us on Sundays with specialities. By family , I mean either my mother or her mother or...my mother in law or her mother in law...same thing..lets move forward 👀 📍: In-Laws 🍴: Mutton Qeema Paratha Rating: 9.2 This sunday, it was a treat from my mother in law as the parathas mentioned above are an outcome of a very old and delcious recepie handed over to her by her mother in law. I believe many of you must have tried this before but it was a first time for me. These parathas are actually filled with raw uncooked mince (kacha qeema) and then cooked to a golden brown crisp perfection on a low yet consistent heat so that the qeema/ mince mixture is cooked completely without burning the paratha. It is a time-heat dependent kinda thing which needs perfection over time. Well, mothers are mothers and whom are we kidding.. no one can match their food, the taste in their cooking and especially the love n care they put in. I, being the first time trier of these scrumptious crisp meat filled parathas, really enjoyed the delicacy and hope to be catered in future too. Here's the review 👇🏻 📍: Bon Vivant Palais by gourmet 🍴: Mutton Handi Chicken Ginger Handi Kastoori Boti O-Rating: 5.6 I will keep it to the point because there is nothing much to say. It definitely isn't what it used to be. I had tried it back in 2015, I guess.. it was much better. It is, for sure, not good at all. Highly disappointed. The better dish that night was the mutton handi. 6.1 Chicken Ginger Handi wasn't good at all. Didn't feel any ginger taste on chicken or gravy. 5.7 Kastoori boti was bad ! Like actually bad. It was dry, hard, tasteless and not even proper in shape. Totally opposite to what an actual kastoori boti looks and feels like. 5.1 The gourmet restaurant in Faisal town is much better than this. Even the gourmet restaurant in the DHA named 'gourmet grill' is better, but this particular one is bad. Not recommended #diningdecision #hussainkamal

Visited this place after a long time...just to check on it. I had a few favourite dishes once upon a time from here, but to my dismay, it didn't come close to the taste it had in its heyday. They have, no doubt, lost it. 📍: Butlers Chocolate Cafe, Lahore 🍴: Margherita Pizza Chicken Pot Pie Crumbed Chicken Chocolate Shake Hazelnut Latte 💰: PKR 6850 total for 4 people O-Rating: 5.8 The pizza wasn't good at all...not my type and not even tasty. Huge pieces of tomatos on it...are you serious? Who does that now !! It is a margherita pizza, guys..atleast see a recepie on the Internet. However, their take on this is not good. It was soft fluffy doughy and floppy. 5.4 Chicken Pot Pie was a bit better than the rest of the dishes. It was fresh, creamy and hot covered with a fine puff pastry. I have had better ones in Lahore though. ETH's is much better btw. 6.5 Crumbed Chicken, being one of the hits of this place in its heyday was pathetic. The crumbed, supposedly, was actually a hard shell containing a little chicken breast filled a very little amount of cheese etc. Too bad. 5.3 The only things you can still have here are the drinks. The chocolate shake and coffee were really good. Definitely and surprisingly something I would go there again for. #hussainkamal #diningdecision
