Johnathan Price was a hometown hero. He was an athlete, comedian and motivational speaker. Out and about one day he heard a woman being assaulted and he ran to her defense and saved her from potentially being killed.
When the police in Wolfe City, Texas arrived Johnathan put his hands in the air and attempted to explain the issue with police. The officer tasered him without cause and as he convulsed on the ground the police took his jerking as a potential threat and then opened fire killing this innocent man.
We hear all the time from Tight Wingers that it's never the police fault. Well if he did this... or if he said this... or he had a history... or police have a stressful job. This man potentially saved a woman's life. This was his reward. The police need to be better trained and have less on their plates. Defunding the police isn't about getting rid of them. It's about taking the load off of them and adding more protection by adding social services to their calls, adding drug counseling programs so there are less drug addicts they have to encounter in arrest that cannot think clearly enough to respond in anything other than violence towards them.
This should be accepted in American society and unfortunately this is. This President considers this acceptable and we need real police reform and change.
A call for justice is getting louder in the Hunt County town of Wolfe City where a beloved citizen named Jonathan Price was shot and allegedly killed by a police officer.
