OOOOOooooooooo, We smashed on it yesterday. We covered Loglines, Structure, and Outlines. We discussed filmmaking and for a moment I had to assure all the writers that in screenwriting you have two choices: 1) prepare yourself for the long haul in order to sell your screenplays (or) 2) produce your own script but you’ll work twice as hard to get the Hollywood exposure needed for an enriching experience, in terms of financially. I teach screenwriting from a Hollywood perspective because most people want to see their work on the same level as a Hollywood produced film. I teach storytelling, Storyshowing, and story selling. I, personally, teach don’t from a hobbyist perspective because most writers I encounter want to learn how to properly write a screenplay, as I motivate them that they can sell what they write. Hell, I’ve done it. I know people who have done it, and if you look at the film industry through a broad scope it’s full of people who are doing it. Our last class in Fayette County is next week hopefully you’ll come out, if not, we start a fresh set of intensive classes on Saturday, October 7th at the WEST END LIBRARY. #screenwriting #screenwriter
