I am coming to you all to ask to help out a dear friend of ours who has helped many in the Texas Country Music scene. Mark Sebby has helped many musicians and people in the industry through the Texas Internet Radio Chart. As we all know he will be having surgery on July 1st and they will be amputating his toe to remove the bone infection and will need a lot of after care and without insurance he will be facing many hurdles with the medical bills. So I am kindly asking if you could please donate any amount to help us reach our goal for his medical expenses, hospitalization, and physical therapy. Keith Foiles, and Dale for helping me set up seating and cleaning for the event when I was in a pinch!!!

Drew Moreland for volunteering his time to run sound on a rare day off he could’ve been doing a million other things.

Some want to focus at a number on a chart. Don’t get me wrong it’s totally relevant and important. But…. (And there’s always a butt 😝)

I watch over and over again literally hundreds of artists and industry professionals GROWTH and statistics. I look deeply and I award accordingly. I never felt the popularity or click contests; and I’ve always colored outside the lines 🤷.

I’m so excited for the 4th Annual Texas Regional Radio Music Awards Show at Goofy's Bar and Grill on 5/19/2024. I get to hand out multiple awards to folks I observed in 2023 and saw true DEVELOPMENT!

I took the advice of my friend and Sebby Music Group artist & client Brad Jenschke and decided it was time for the SEBBY AWARDS to come out. These are my picks based on my observations and you better believe if you’re getting one this year; well, I saw something in you in 2023 that made me say DAMN!!!

I’m on a quick smoke break at the vet clinic and I was reflecting on the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards Show.

My favorite highlight from the whole awesomeness of the experience and biggest takeaway was seeing three of the Texas Reporting Charts together supporting our artists and industry professionals. It was honestly humbling!

You musicians to radio want a lil secret to getting a pd to “pay attention” to your releases here’s a few free tips from Sebby.

1.) If you’re brand new remember you’re brand new! Meaning I know you’re not a rookie to the music scene obviously but you’re brand new to radio. So, try to humble yourself and focus on ACTUALLY building a relationship with that station!

2.) Don’t promote a single song to radio that isn’t radio quality and radio ready. Why would you expect someone to play something on radio (to their listeners they worked their asses off to obtain) that doesn’t fit their programming format or requirements for airplay consideration. Do your research on their hot buttons.

3.) if she’s a female program director she doesn’t want to be your sugar momma or mom for that fact. She doesn’t want to be hit on (how unprofessional if you’ve done this you should be ashamed and apologize immediately and hope you haven’t let your 🍆 write a check your 🫏 can’t cash 💵!!

4.) If you don’t have the time to visit the stations, tag the ones that are spinning your song, or put forth the effort to build a real and honest relationship then don’t waste your time (or these industry professionals) for the love of God!

5.) Dance with the one that brung ya. I’ve seen artists 💩 all over industry pros that honestly busted their asses and put their names, brands, and reputations on the line (many took a big chance on you); just to get trash talked and disrespected. We all have a place (lane) purpose (our why), and goals (artists and industry pros alike). It’s ok to remember those that took a chance on yer rookie ass and or went above and beyond to launch you to your next level. DONT EVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF DISCOUNTING WHAT THEY DID FOR YOU, TAUGHT YOU, AND SACRIFICED TO BRING YOU TO THE PARTY!

Hope this helps someone out there NOT make some of the mistakes I made as an artist. Yep, I have made each and everyone of theses mistakes at one time or another and learned THE HARD WAY!!! Don’t spin your wheels!
