So Judge Tom O Donnell was too lenient ? Or did public backlash influence the current sentence .

The Limerick Hurler Kyle Hayes springs to mind but no backlash .

The Court of Appeal has ruled a three-year wholly suspended sentence imposed on former soldier Cathal Crotty for beating a woman unconscious in a random attack was unduly lenient and jailed him for two years.

🇮🇪Defence Numbers continue to fall to critical levels leaving our Internal and international obligations at risk of Completly folding .

There will be no sense of urgency untill the horse has bolted as this is the FF/FG way .

Dangerous Policy and does not stand up to their obligations to protect the Citizen and the state .

From that aspect this government have already failed .

🇮🇪Current State of Play with Our National Defence Strategy going into 2025 .

Be Grand attitude sure we are in the EU attack one state attack us all .

We that works both ways .

Ireland is a lagard when it comes to defence in the EU and Globally .
It goes back to civil war politics FG and FF cant leave the Military past behind but can Jump into bed for 10 yrs .

✅️7,300 serving personnel short 2,200 .

✅️5 out of 8 Naval ships out of commission

✅️No primary Radar capability

✅️No heavy lift transport capability

✅️Cyber security Units depleted

✅️No subsea Detection assets

Just some of the many shortfalls which is simply not good enough heading into 2025 .

The Passing of Leading Seaman Alan Cronin(Rtd) Has been announced ,Alan was a longstanding servant of the Irish Naval Service ⚓️.

To all that worked with Alan and who knew him a true Gent and always greeted you with a smile even in the most adverse of conditions at sea or ashore .

Alan will be greatly missed by everyone and thoughts and prayers for his Family at this difficult time .🙏

Lieutenant Shane Hunt, had pleaded not guilty to two charges of disciplinary offences contrary to the Defence Act 1954 over his attempts to interfere with the application of Euan Mackay to join a cadet training programme run by the Defence Forces in 2021

🇮🇪Our Defence Forces enter in to 2025 operational at 75% numbers wise with our Naval Service operating at 30% capactity .

Let us have a look at the world today .

🌎Would you consider this a time of peace or a time of war ? .

People will say we are NUETRAL 🤔are we ? It was effective during WW2 kept us out of it and conflict .

But we were not part of the 🇪🇺EU then .

Times 🕑change so must our view on defence .

If we are going to be NEUTRAL then we still have to protect and defend that Neutrality .✅️

And I mean NO ONE .

Ireland is an outlier on defence in the 🌎World.

But why ?

Can we rule out the following

1.Incompetence by the DOD?

2.Ignorance by the DF ?

3.Civil war politics ?

4.Government disregard for defence ?

5. Lack of representation or ability to be represented ?

Or is all of the above a deflection of what is really going on ?.

NATO needs Ireland to be an asset but our Neutrality is an issue blocking that .

FF/FG have been tasked by both the EU and NATO in changing that going forward .

Do not be fooled.

Should There be a party formed made up of Veterans who will make sure defence is never ignored again?
Veterans who stand for those serving and the wider community .

There is no better people really if you think about it the skillsets they would bring would outclass any current political establishment .

Veterans standing up for everyone within the state that feel the need for an alternative to what is happening politically in Ireland today .

An Idea only ... there are those that will shoot holes in this from the word go but they are devoid of vision .

God Bless🇮🇪 Èire🫡 and all that are and were proud to serve her and in her moment of need will serve again .

🇮🇪This year the Department of Defence will hand back a record amount of unspent monies .

This is down to the ever increasing declining nunbers millions unspent in wages no wonder they dont put effort into recruitment and retention .

Fine Gael Set up a scheme to drive 1000s of members of the Defence forces out of the Organisation from 2012 (reorg) till present day .

Remember they get a budget for 9,500 Defence members each year and are short 2,000 so they hand back that money at the end of every year .

Also they withheld Payments that would have stemmed the flow of highly trained and qualified personnel from ARW members to Fitters in the NAVY .

This was in the form of the ARW allowance increase that was witheld forcing Many members of the ARW into leaving some were owed in backpay as much as €43,000 .

Chefs in the had their tech pay award held back for years forcing them out with some being owwd as much as €12,000 .

A tech pay review which would have increased Tech pay to vital staff was witheld for 2 years forcing many many techie staff out the door.

Vote with your head tomorow .

Just remember when your voting tomorow what FINE GAEL AND FIANNA FAIL HAVE DONE to our defence forces .

✅️Short 2,000 personnel with a War in Europe

✅️5 Naval Ships tied up fulltime now .

✅️Failure to invest properly in Personnel

✅🇪🇺️Withdrew 150+ from golan heights and redployed those numbers to an EU BATTLEGROUP

A Depleted Defence Force with little or no national protection of our Land Seas and Air Space .

FF/FG Do not care about the Basics When it comes to running a country .

👎A Vote for either Party is A vote for more destruction and a push towards NATO or an EU Armed Forces.
