New episode is out! In this episode we talk about the Cozy Inn dilemma (Kevin and Phillip finally disagree on something), storming the court after a basketball game, the state of Big 12 basketball, and tweet from a fantasy football loser turns into a conversation about why Salina doesnt have a Waffle House, why Salina should have a Waffle House, and where the closest Waffle House is. Don't listen to this episode with an empty stomach!

Yes, we have had arena football in the past, but this is the BIG TIME! This is THE Arena Football League! In this episode, we have the General Manager of the Salina Liberty Sam Sellers on with us to discuss all things Arena Football. Teams in this league are owned by other folks you know, such as Jon Bon Jovi, Miley Cyrus, and others.

During this hour, we cover everything from recruiting players to the team, salaries of the players, travel schedules, rule differences between regular football and arena football, and we talk a little X's and O's of this type of football. We also talk about how they regulate the fields they play on, how revenue sharing works, etc.

And I think we even assigned Phillip to be the first fan to catch a kickoff off the net and get blasted by a player running at him full speed. Well, only part of that may be true....

Season 5 Episode 8 is out! Have you ever collected sports cards? In this episode, we invite a fried of ours, Jacob Wilson onto the podcast to discuss todays Sports Card Trading. After picking our 4 College Football Playoff teams (spoiler alert - we don't agree) and some quick discussion around the crosstown rivalry basketball games last week, we dive into what the current world of sports cards looks like.

If you haven't purchased any cards since the junk wax era (1985ish - 1995ish) or since the 50s or 60s, check this out! We dive into the different products in todays market, card grading, and different "hits" (parallels, refractors, patches, autographs), Kevin opens a box of cards he had graded from PSA to see what grades he received, and Jacob opens a Panini One 2023 NBA Hobby Box live on the podcast!

Episode 3 is out! This is Part 2 from The FARM & The Odd Fellows. In this second part of this series, we sit down and talk with Keir Swisher, owner of "The Farm". We discuss what this incredible place has to offer, the motivation behind opening The Farm, the process and challenges they went through to renovate a building that is over 100 years old, and the history behind the name of the establishment.

We also dive into how they named a few of the beers (there is one in here for our K-State fans), some of the events they have hosted and events that are coming up, and some specialty packages you can book with them.

Come listen to our new episode, recorded live from The FARM & The Odd Fellows! This 2 part project was so much fun, and a special thanks to Keir and Kyle for their hospitality and for opening the doors for us to come in and highlight this special place!

This is the first part of a 2 part podcast. In this episode, we travel to The Farm & The Odd Fellows in Minneapolis, KS and speak to the head brewer Kyle to learn about his journey from drinking beer, to home brews, to professional brewer! We learn about the process he goes through from creation of an idea to the finished product at the brewery there in Minneapolis, and we learn some history not only of the beers on tap at this location, but why IPAs are called India Pale Ales.

We also talk about some of the challenges of opening up this brewery and what it is like to start this from scratch.

If you are a sports fan, or more importantly a Big 12 sports fan, you need to check this podcast out. This is Part 1 of what will end up being 2 or 3 parts with Salina's own, James Westling. You may not know the name, but you probably know the voice! He has advanced from sports talk in Salina, to the voice of the Bethany Swedes, to calling Big 12 football and basketball games on ESPN.

Recording this episode went by so fast. We cover how he got into the business, the day that ESPN called him (finally!) and some of the things that go into broadcasting a game with travel, logistics, and broadcast partners (more to come). We discuss the difference between radio and TV, some of his favorite spots while traveling (we will get into this more in another part), and his interactions with coaches he has interviewed; Jerome Tang (KSU), Scott Drew (Baylor), Jamie Dixon (TCU) Porter Mozer (OU), Mike Boynton (OSU), Kelvin Sampson (Houston), Bob Huggins (WVU), TJ Otzelberger (ISU) and others.

Some great behind the scenes stories in this one. Don't miss it!

Who doesn't love basketball in March?

We invited Kelly Kitchener back to the podcast to discuss basketball in March and KSU's great season! We dive into what the future looks like for KSU, the officiating in the tournament, delusional Kentucky fans, and why Kevin now has more respect for Bill Self!

We also talk about KSU's sweep of OU baseball, why Kevin was wearing Lululemon tights and a pizza you need to try in Salina. And to top it off, Kevin tells a story about what happens when Colin Kaepernick tries to dine at Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas!
