Thank you Tigard Public Library for presenting our Asian Kites and Masks Exhibit for the month of August in time for the Washington State International Kite Festival at Long Beach, WA (August 19-25) and to promote the 45th Annual American Kitefliers Association National Convention at Seaside, OR ( September 9-14)

Babar was created by Jean de Brunhoff whose son Laurent carried on the stories for decades and passed away at age 98 this week. The elephant lives on.

His father, Jean de Brunhoff, created the series but Laurent turned the children's book series into a global media empire.
