VAF 2022: I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for all their support and positive messages before, during, and after the Miss Virginia Association of Fairs pageant. First and foremost, I want to thank God for his many blessings, and I will never take that for granted. Thank you to my family who has stood by me and supported me through endless hours of traveling, gathering and donating items, and local appearances. Thank you to my directors, Natasha and Megan for being the best pageant mommas ever. You have taken such good care of me and given me not 1 but 2 amazing opportunities to experience Miss VAF. Also, thank you to the Miss VAF directors, Wendi and Sarah Grace for creating such an enjoyable weekend . I built new friendships and added to my sisterhood of pageantry. Tricia, you always create a beautiful wardrobe and have me looking on point for every event, thank you so much for that. I may not have come home with the Miss VAF crown, but as always, I am so proud to be your Miss Duffield Daze 2021 ❤

It's been a busy, fun filled day getting to know my sister queens in preparation for tomorrow's competition. Today consisted of a 4 hour rehearsal to perfect on stage competition, followed by an elegant gala to end the conference.
Looking forward to taking the stage at 10:30 in the morning to kick off Miss VA Association of Fairs 2022.

During the month of November, I am holding a book drive as part of the Read to Succeed program through the Miss Virginia Association of Fairs organization. I am collecting books to be distributed to elementary schools across Scott County. I need all the help I can get! Please contact me if you have books that you would like to donate, and I will make arrangements to pick them up. Help me make this book drive a success and place lots of books in the hands of children in our area!

Today was a bitter/sweet day. I was devastated to see the severity of the situation in Hurley due to the flooding, but it was so rewarding to be able to ease their burden just a little bit. There are still some much needed items. I am going to continue to collect the following items: wheel barrows, shovels, gas cans, beds mattresses, water, towels, furniture, and wash cloths. I am also accepting monetary donations for the purchase of these items. Thank you to everyone who donated!

What an amazing opportunity I have been given! Due to the covid-19 pandemic, I will continue representing the Duffield Daze Festival! I fell in love with the people of Scott County during my reign, and couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to continue to represent this great community. Now that I have finally made it home from a very busy weekend I am happy to say I placed 1st runner up and, received the Most Photogenic award at Miss Virginia Association of Fairs! I want to thank my family for all their love and support, Patricia Edwards for making sure I’m always dressed for success, and Krisna Goodwin for an award winning headshot. I can’t thank my directors enough for making this experience unforgettable, Natasha Hillman and Megan Carter Byrd I love you❤️
