Some repulsive pestilence has entered my body. I blame nature. Everybody is like, "Oooh, nature! So beautiful and wholesome!" F**k that hippie noise. Nature is brutal and red in tooth and claw, and-- oh, I just coughed up some blood. I promise it's not so bad. I'm going to doctor on Friday. The story goes that the original FREAKS was 90 minutes but was cut down to 64 minutes, and even then many audiences found its subject matter too shocking. The movie’s resolution comes when the close-knit sideshow “freaks” band together to exact justice on Cleopatra, the beautiful trapeze artist of the circus (pictured here by Olga Baclanova, after revenge is exacted), after she attempts to murder protagonist Hans, a small person played by Harry Earles of the real-life Dancing Dolls troupe. I've never taken The Ghostbusters' side, and this is just another reminder that they were on the wrong side of history. Samhain would've given us Halloween forever. Wtf would the Ghostbusters leave us? Dangerous and possibly hazardous waste chemicals in their basement and several other violations of the Environmental Protection Act.
