11 years ago...when Link and Luna were tubby, and Clover the Flemish Giant was part of the pack. My kitty, P'zuzu, is the only one who is still this side of Heaven with me. By the way, we all lived in one room that I rented, and there was also a 10 gallon fish tank too 🤣🤣🤣

On our way to my mom's place for some well needed fam time. Nana is trialing a calming supplement to see if that helps with her social anxiety. So far, this little lady is still glued to me and wants nothing to do with any other human except my daughter. She does enjoy some pets from my husband under very specific circumstances. It's always heartwarming to see her getting love from him. He wants a bond with her so bad. Hopefully, time and love will help foster things more and more ❤️

I miss you, my social butterfly. You sent me a very anti-social corgi, and I'm really confused by that, lol. It makes me long for your bubbly personality. I miss being able to take you everywhere with me. It gave me deep joy to see you and Link slather people in kisses and sprinkle your corgi glitter all over them. You made people so happy. You were the best at taking people out at the knee cap so they could drop down to your level. I miss your crazy. I miss your naughty. I miss your loud. I miss all of you, every day, my looney tune. Mama will always miss you.

Nana is doing amazingly. We still have an ophthalmologist appointment on Monday because her right eye does still protrude a bit, but other than that, she's totally herself again. One more week of surgery suit and then we can say bye-bye to the spay recovery. So happy our girl is doing so well. We love you Nana B!!!

She's doing great guys. Begging for pizza and everything 🥲 Her spay incision looks fantastic. Surgical suit is working so well. Her eye looks almost normal today too!! Prayers are being answered.

Nana is home! She's doing well. Her teeth were not the source of her eye problem. No extractions were needed. It's possible this was just an eye infection. However, they want us to take her to an ophthalmologist to have them ultrasound the eye if her 3rd eyelid paralysis hasnt gone away in a couple of weeks. If there is no mass or anything behind the eye, then CT would be the next step. Her bloodwork is good...no more signs of infection. Spay went well, and the incision looks great. Thank you so much for all the love, support, and prayers!!

Someone is feeling better. She wouldn't hold still for a picture, so they are all blurry 🤣 Antibiotics are working! Bloodwork indicated infection (elevated white count), but all systems are good. The surgery is on for Friday. Surgery suits have arrived today to try on. Spay, dental, and microchip here we come. I will be so so sooooooo relieved when Nana is home in my arms Friday evening. We can use all the prayers for a safe surgery and for our anxieties to be soother. Thank you to all our loving friends. You are all the best community we could ever ask for.

On Father's Day, I spent over 6 hours with Nana at 2 different ERs for her eye. We ruled out glaucoma, ulcer, and foreign body in the eye. We were sent home with antibiotics and pain meds. Today, her routine vet ordered bloodwork because they think she has a little bit of horners syndrome going on in addition to the eye swelling. Horners is neurological and causes eyelid drooping and such (could also be caused by abscess). They will also look at some auto immune levels and will do pre-op labs. The next step is to see if the eye improves over the next day or two while we assess anything the labs present. Then, if the eye improves with antibiotics and lab work is clear, we move on to dental with spay, which will happen Friday. They can xray the teeth and look for an abscess during that procedure, then extract any teeth causing the issue. If they still can't find the cause of this eye issue, she will have to have a neuro consult and get a CT scan. Nana has not been herself. I'm hoping it's the pain meds just making her sedate, but she doesn't play with her toys, and she just wants to sleep. I mean, I would be the same if my eyeball was doing this, but it still hurts my heart to see her this way. I'm struggling with big trauma emotions from losing Luna after a large procedure. I remain hopeful, but this process has really ripped open some wounds. I will do everything I can to make sure Nana is healthy and happy and safe, even if it hurts my heart. I will be brave for her.

I found Nana sleeping in Dad's slipper today. I had to do a double take because I thought it was my Lu. Luna was queen of the laundry and shoes. She was almost always on one or the other when she slept. The first picture is Nana, and the rest are Luna.

Our nervous-nelly, Nana 🤣🩷 She's was emotionally and physically exhausted after a walk around an outdoor shopping center, but she did it, and I think in the end she enjoyed herself. At least I got a nervous smile out of her for a good memory 🤣🤣🤣

.annie did it again!! She knocked this one out of the park, as usual! Introducing our Link graphic!!! Link had spinal damage from an injury as well as DM l, so he needed a cart. He was LIGHTNING in that thing!! Link also adored pretzles of all kinds, but especially . His 13th bday party was there, and we visited the night before he was assisted over the 🌈 bridge. Pretzels continue to remind us of our beloved boyo. I'll be getting this made up into some high-quality stickers by soon. When we do 's Race at your Own Pace to raise awareness for Degenerative Myelopathy, I'll be sending anyone who donates to Team Link one of these stickers!!! Thanks again to SketchyAnnie for providing such a fun and beautiful way to honor Link.

Looks like we have some kind of would between our toes. I'm highly suspicious of a foxtail 😭 looks like a boil with the skin upcerated a little (I think she's been licking it). I'm hoping the vet determines it's not a foxtail, but we can't be seen till Wednesday evening 😞 Nana is SO tolerant of my obsessive fussing. Cheyenne is worried about her and checked her other toes to make sure they are ok. Thank you for making the perfect size Gelato container that fits a corgi foot for an epsom salt soak 🤣

I am still amazed by the outpouring of love that I continue to receive from the friends I've made here. I was sent this gorgeous corgi themed quilt by just a few days after her wonderful daughter .shook.10 sent us home-made treatos!! This quilt is such a special gift that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I will always be reminded of my corgis and the friendships formed through my love of them. Nana and I spent the entire night cuddled up with the quilt. It was such a comfort after a difficult anniversary of oir goodbye with Luna. I'm blessed and honored to have connected with friends like Carol and Chrissy and so many others. I love you all, and I'm so glad to know you.

A year ago, on May 3rd, we said goodbye. I don't think I'll ever be the same. I will never be ok with how we had to part, but I will always cherish what we shared for 14.5 precious years together. It is still so unbelievable that you aren't here, my beautiful, crazy, little Looney Tune. This last few days has been really hard. I miss you harder. I remember harder. It hurts harder. Keep sending me signs, sweet Luna. I will always look forward to those amazing moments when I feel your soul close to mine. I love you always, baby girl.

She's a barnacle baby 🤣 Nana is glued to me. Unfortunately, she trusts nobody else (except my 2 year old). We are working on building her confidence, but it is slow going. You cannot rush trust-building. Happy Friday friends!

Nana's human child went to Disneyland last week for a day. Nana was not happy to be left for the day and cared for by friends. She is such a timid little lady. She may not like us going to Disneyland, but she sure looks cute next to her child's newest Minnie Mouse 🤣

We are on Day 2 of Luna experiencing the negative side effects of Nystagmus (the eye movement you see in this reel). Luna's condition was most likely brought on by a round of metronidazole, a common antibiotic used to treat diarrhea and giardia in dogs. It's always important to have your pet seen promptly when nystagmus rears its ugly head. According to wagwalking.com, "peripheral vestibular disease can be caused by many factors: middle or inner ear infections, perforated eardrum, head trauma, hypothyroidism, stroke, polyps, tumors or as a side affect from medication. Central vestibular disease can be caused by a chronic inflammatory disease, infection, bleeding on the brain, trauma, impaired blood flow, or cancer." Nystagmus typically resolves within a week or two, but the uncomfortable side effects of vomiting and extreme dizziness have to be managed to prevent dehydration and injury. Luna is very unstable and gets disoriented very quickly since she is experiencing extreme vertigo. She is on Meclizine 12.5mg to manage her dizziness. It's the same stuff people take for motion sickness.
