Shashl Biography

Shashl is a Zimbabwean music artist. She is the first Zimbabwean female musician to be signed under Universal Music Africa.

Born Ashleigh Moyo, Shashl was born in Harare Zimbabwe. She is the daughter of former Zimbabwe Health minister Obadiah Moyo.

She had her early education at Hellenic Secondary School in Harare.

Shashl began her career in 2017 when she released her debut track titled No More.

She later released her first single project under Universal Music titled Blow it in the wind.

She was nominated for best female Artist in the Southern African region at the 8th African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

She also won Best Newcomer at Zimbabwe Music Awards.

Shashl released her debut 14 track album on the 14th of March 2022 which was produced by Levels of Chillspot titled Highway.

Donald Trump’s Twitter account appeared to be back online after a slim majority of votes were cast, in a Twitter poll organised by Elon Musk, in favour of reinstating the former US president, who was banned from the social media service after the 6 January 2021 Capitol riot.

Slightly more than 15 million votes were counted in the poll with 51.8% votes in favour of reinstatement.

“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Musk tweeted. During the poll, Musk acknowledged the vote numbers were being affected by automated “bots”, which are not people, and suggested there was a need to “clean up” Twitter polls from being influenced by “bot and trolls armies”.

BREAKING NEWS: Prof. Jonathan Moyo and Patrick Zhuwao have apologized to Zanu-pf.

Moyo and Zhuwao are in exile since 2017 military coup that ousted the late President Robert Mugabe.

The duo were part of the G-40 faction which was pushing for the former First Lady Grace Mugabe to take over from Mugabe, against the team Lacoste which won the battle after being assisted by the army.

Moyo was the Minister of Higher Education from 2015 to 2017 and Zhuwao served as Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare of Zimbabwe between October and November 2017.

The two are now pleading to come back to Zanu-pf.

"Jonathan Moyo and Patrick Zhuwao sends an apology to Zanu-pf cdes!!", said Zanu-pf official on Twitter while attaching the letter as a proof.

THE 14 opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activists arrested over violence in Nyatsime have been granted bail by the High Court.

Justice Munamato Mutevedzi granted them conditional release from custody at ZW$50,000 each

They had spent 150 days in remand prison after being arrested over the violence which rocked slain CCC activist Moreblessing Ali’s funeral on the 14th of June.

Ali went missing for three weeks before being found murdered and her body mutilated on 11 June 2022.

Last week Sithole was granted bail after spending 149 days in jail, however co-accused Job Sikhala remains behind bars and his trial starts today.

CCC spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere said there was nothing to celebrate as bail is a constitutional right.

“We breathe a sigh of relief, but we do not celebrate. They should never have been jailed without trial in the first place. Bail is a constitutional right,” Mahere posted on twitter.

CCC leader Nelson Chamisa also demanded for the immediate release of Sikhala.

“Good news bail granted! Finally, the Nyatsime 14 have been granted bail. Now honourable Job Sikhala must be granted bail. Thanks to advocate Thabani Mpofu for representing our citizens’ heroes. Glory be to God!” Chamisa said.

This is a ZANU PF advert in 1990 elections. There was a main opposition (ZUM) being led by Edgar Tekere, which was the main threat of Zanu-Pf. Zanu-Pf threatened to kill all those who could vote for ZUM. These same threats are still being used to intimidate CCC members.

Section 61(1) of the Zimbabwean constitution says: "Every person has the right to freedom of expression, which includes,freedom to seek, receive and communicate ideas and other information."Though we know that under Zanu-Pf tired regime we are free to express but there is no freedom after expression. Because of this constitution l will continue to express my ideas until l die, because it doesn't say that only Zanu-Pf members can enjoy this provision of expression but it's for all Zimbabweans. We can not be told what to say and when to say it. It's not all about Zanu-Pf but it's about our Country, l refuse to lick for me to be granted freedom of expression.

Teachers are told to borrow money and go to work by Zanu-Pf govt, they are laughing at teachers, it's a joke to them.I appeal to all civil servants across Zimbabwe to vote for Change next year.If Zanu-Pf can laugh at your meagre salaries then it shows they don't have you at heart

As youths we must refuse again to be promised fish by Zanu-Pf, they have to teach us how to catch fish for ourselves if they are serious about us, so that if they die we will keep on keeping on catching fish. Today it's 1 August 2022, we remember our brothers and sisters who died on 1 August 2018 in the street of Harare being shot by soldiers,under the instruction of Emmerson Mnangagwa, others sustained severe injuries. It's been 4 years now, no proper justice for the unjustified shootings.
