Pride isn’t over yet! Check out Galway Pride, August 10-16

Every year Galway has a summer of non-stop action, festivities, and cultural and artistic show cases. At the end of typical that summer in Galway comes Galway Pride. This is no typical Galway summer but Galway Pride will still be delivering a week full of events like the 30 years that have come befo...

Some of you may know that recently the United States passed a ruling that is a grave violation of LGBTQ+ rights. The ruling removed anti discrimination rights in healthcare, removing the protections of LBGTQ+ folks when dealing with doctors and insurance companies and allowing the aforementioned to refuse service on the basis of religion and personal bigotry.

This horrific civil rights violation was passed during a tumultuous time in the US, and has gone widely unknown among many.

However, it is an extremely important time to spread this around, and to educate people on what has happened.

**There are 54 days until this ruling goes into effect. It can be reversed in this time**

Hello everyone!

My name is Liam (he/him), I'm an editor with Rural Rainbows! I'm happy to announce that I will be the main one managing the page from here on.

I'm a writer myself, and I love being able to see works coming in. I prefer poetry myself, and we've got editors on who love short stories, scripts, fiction, nonfiction, and some with more specific interests.

I hope we can make this page and this group of writers feel comfortable and safe for everyone coming by. I (or any of us, really) are always happy to answer any questions you might have, so don't hesitate to send us a message.

Happy Pride!
-Liam

Finally picked up a copy of Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell and it's fantastic. Love being back in the q***r fantasy world of Simon Snow and Basilton Pitch. There aren't enough LGBT people in fantasy. We're happy to try to change that! If you have a fantasy story with Rural LGBT characters, send it to us before Friday 29th to submit to our first issue.
