I showed Sienna this edit she said ‘Aww Mam why am I all by my myself, where are you?’ 😂.
I thought she might have commented on the glowing stars or the fishing rod that took me forever to bend into the right shape, or the fact she’s sitting in clouds, but all she noticed was that I wasn’t there. I’m not complaining I think it’s so sweet. We’ve literally been living in each other’s pockets during lockdown. So, I’ve promised her I’ll be in the next photo we take.

So tonight I’m going to do the following:
* Mind map some ideas
* Come up with a concept
* Sketch it out
* Choose our outfits ready for tomorrow.

Then, in the morning we’re going to have a photoshoot. I’m always up for any kind of input or inspiration from you, so if you have suggestions for my next photo, or a theme for our photo. Let me know in the comments. What’s your plans for tomorrow? Anything exciting?

Can you guess how many of my photos in my Instagram feed ( all 439 of them) have been edited with photoshop?

I love editing with apps because they’re so fast and intuitive, I can edit a photo with apps in no time at all.

Although photoshop take hours (years, decades) to finish a photo, I can see dot with so much more detail and everyday I learn something new.

I can spends days lost in a edit. I watch video tutorial after video tutorial soaking it all in. I just love learning and making my edits better.

For this edit I learned three new techniques.

1. How to draw grass.
2. How to make a reflection
3. How to colour match composite objects in a new photo (probably not the right technical term) 🤣

This is something we’ve all struggled with at some point, right? Aghhh why does my feed not look good? Why did I post that photo it’s ruined EVERYTHING (slightly dramatic Danielle 🤣).

Do you put yourself in front of the camera? I’ve realised I have very few photos of sienna and I. This year I’m going to make more effort to get in the frame with her and to print them out! I might even go as far as framing them 😂.

Stuck for inspiration?
Whenever I find myself low on ideas for photos, I find physical tangible props to play with. I use them to help spark my imagination. The process of holding the prop and allowing my brain to think through different photos ideas works wonders. What do you do when you’re stuck for photo ideas?

This Christmas is going to be amazing. She’s already excited talking about ‘Santa coming down the chimney. I’m still working on ‘Father Christmas’, but she insists on calling him Santa 😂.and.i edited with Oh Autumn.
