Part 1 :
Chic, Casual, Colourful but Comfortable
What is the role of a fashion stylist? Did they alter your personality in any way? Or did they dress you like themselves? Is it possible to work as a stylist if you don't live in a big city? Or Is it true that as a stylist, you can only wear high-end clothing?
Many people believe that becoming a stylist is out of reach, only celebrities' friends or those who dress in expensive clothes can be stylists, and only those who live in metro cities and regularly attend glamorous parties can be good stylists. This isn't the case, though.
Tanvi Trivedi, from a small town in Madhya Pradesh, is proving that stylists aren't just for the rich and famous, but also ordinary people, by creating content for people on how to wear their everyday clothes in multiple ways. Chic, casual, colourful, and comfortable is her motto.
She is a mass media graduate who is not a fashionista. She had never considered a career as a fashion stylist. However, during the 2020 lockdown, she began her page by styling her everyday clothes in unexpected ways. She wasn't regular at first, and she never imagined that people would like her style. But, she didn't have a good phone, tripod, or camera to shoot with at first, making it difficult for her to balance her studies and the page. She was able to do it, however, because she wished to. According to her, if you want to do something, you will do it regardless of what obstacles stand in your way. She enjoyed styling for others. She wanted to motivate people and convey to them that while trends come and go, they should choose an outfit that is comfortable, will never go out of style, and can be worn in a variety of ways. She was never concerned with gaining followers; in her own words, "I am not working to gain followers, but to set a trend that will inspire girls like me.".
