VAMOS: Congratulations to USC BFA Cinema students Febe Bongato, Jane Narciso and Jon Owen Lepiten, along with alumnus Arny| Jacalan for placing as finalists in the 21st Mindanao Film Festival.

The short film entries are Bongato's "Balod sa Kinabuhi", Narciso's "Way Undang" and Jacalan's
"Ang Alamat" in the Beyond Borders category.
Lepiten's "Qué Tal?" proceeds in the Mindanao Harvest category.

The film festival will culminate from December 6 to 9 in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

WAY UNDANG going to Mindanao this month!!

"𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗚" has been officially selected for the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 under the 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 category🌟👀

STAINED finally done!

I don't know how to further express my deepest gratitude to my crew and mom for making my vision come to life. I've never pictured something like this ever but it came out better than I imagined.

STAINED is about an angel taken hostage to fall in love with a mortal man who designs her to be his ideal lover by giving her everything she doesn't want, need, nor asked for. Picking the last straw drives the angel to act indifferently.

I ran an extra mile for this thriller and am so proud of it!

Explored a new way of taking portraits, from my usual dark and gloomy style, I went for this soft, fairy-like concept that I've always wanted to do.

Definitely has room for improvement but I think it's a good first try 😁

This is where 7 years of photojournalism has brought me.

I really thought I took a lot of photos but among the blurry ones, turns out I only got a few 😅 Which is okay, I just wish I had more time, energy, confidence, and capabilities to go around and shoot at better angles.

Nevertheless, I'm grateful for the who made way for me to take photos and videos while I was in the crowd. I'm positive that they enjoyed the event as much as I did as well. Hopefully, some of the people I took a photo of can find their photos here 😅

Yesterday, I was crowded by more than a hundred thousand of people who deeply understand the importance of having a good leader. Even though I was with them, I knew the people surrounding me weren't enough to make it a sure win and there's only a 2-digit number of days left until we decide whose hands we'll let this country hold for the next SIX YEARS.

This is no time to be arrogant and blind ourselves from the actualities of reality. Grow with compassion in your hearts, people, not hate. Please oh please don't ignore and let the efforts of our ancestors go to waste by fighting for our freedom, rights, and justice.

For once, think about the country.

Now let's keep it pink. 🌸

First time joining a HUGE rally and I'm so proud that I did.

Here's a glimpse of when I was at the Grand Rally. Though I wish I got to cover so much more of this momentous event, my tiny arms can't keep up 😅 Being surrounded not just by my generation, but also by millennials and the elderly, was such an experience and so reassuring to know how much people care for the future.
