Dr. Ruiz is a world-renowned arts entrepreneur, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and professor. A four-time GRAMMY® Award Winner, EMMY® Award Winner, and 15-time Global Music® Award Winner, is maintaining a vibrant career as an internationally touring cross-genre performing and recording artist (flutist, saxophonist, and bassist). Ruiz has also led 40+ non-profit mission trips, delivered 110+ keynotes, concerts, and workshops in academic sectors, consulted numerous Fortune 500 companies, produced 140+ albums and 10 documentaries, and published 54 peer-reviewed research articles. He currently holds the positions of Resident Media Composer at Hayden5, CEO at JV Music Enterprises, Founding Program Coordinator of UF Music Business & Entrepreneurship, Director of the Global Institute for Music Research's Commission for Entrepreneurship and Leadership, and Co-Editor of Artivate: A Journal of Entrepreneurship in the Arts.

We would like to present our upcoming author, Dr. José Leonardo Leon! During these next few weeks, you will learn more about him and his upcoming book, the title of which will be released soon!

Dr. José Leonardo Leon is a renowned musician and sought-after trombonist with expertise in classical, commercial, and global music styles. In 2023, Leon became the recipient of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences 2023 Anthem Award for Education, Arts, and Culture—Strategy. Moreover, Leon served as Bass Trombonist for the 2015 Latin Grammy Award-winning Best Instrumental Album and has won three Global Music Awards in the categories of Contemporary Classical Albums (twice), Producer, and Composition.

Dr. Leon is currently the Visiting Professor of Music (Applied Trombone) and Founder and Coordinator of the Initiative for Arts Performance and Entrepreneurship at Florida Atlantic University's College of Arts and Letters. A Bach Brass and Conn-Selmer Artist, Leon expresses his performative and entrepreneurial career as a trombonist for several orchestras in Florida and also serves as an Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of Music Entrepreneurship & Leadership.
