RECKLESS EXPRESS, THE CORE SPIKE BROS GRADE 1 BOOSTER

It's been a while since my last post, but I haven't had worthwhile tech to share until now. Spike Bros are one of the most popular clans at the moment, and players would often tend to build their decks around the Sky Diver + Goblin Assault Squad combo where you get to superior call cards from your hand (note: to any space, not just open Rs) to string Sky Divers into a Juggernaut Maximum that can hit past defensives. It is a really potent combo that can often push to 5 damage quite easily. Because of this, most early lists I've seen (shoutout to Living Proof, I learned quite a lot of Spike Bros from watching his YT channel) would run 4x Goblin Assault Squad or 4x Dudley Dan (another core card, one of the 2 ways that you could shuffle the deck to hopefully bring Juggernaut Maximums from the bottom of your deck closer to the top) for consistency. With this iteration of the deck, I specifically chose to instead run 4x Reckless Express for several reasons:

1. While you want to draw at least one of both Goblin Assault Squad and Dudley Dan in every game, you really don't want to superior call into multiples;
2. Mecha Trainer and could easily fetch either one from the deck if need be;
3. Spike Bros have a lot of decent unboosted attackers, but there are instances where a 7k is needed to reach the magic numbers (16k and 21k) against 11k base vanguards. Yes, I'm looking at you Brakki. Lol;
4. General Seyfried requires open front row Rs to utilize its superior call ability. In order to get attacks 4-5, re-shuffling attackers are needed; and
5. The Sky Diver + Goblin Assault Squad combo, while a good comeback play, is "Magical Christmas Land". It is really difficult to pull off successfully given that it only takes 1 defensive trigger to wreck your play. Being that it also requires Sky Diver to hit, the combo is no longer viable once the opponent is at 5 damage because of how sentinels work in the Zero format. Because of this, I would say that non-restanding boosters can get the job of re-standing boosters most of the time.

Reckless Express, I humbly submit, is the card that enables Spike Bros the most and deserves to be played as a 4-of. It can be a right-sized booster or a 12k re-shuffling attacker (that gets rid of the tallest of intercepts) as the case may be. It's a true workhorse and it gets the job done.

(Btw, I'm also thinking about giving away my other account as I can only keep 1. Yes, the one that I took to Legend 60 w/ a complete Tsukuyomi deck [4x full ride chain, 4x CEO, 4x Tom, etc.] If you want it, just give my page a like and share this post, and let me know how unlucky you are at gacha. I'd select the funniest comment. Good luck!)

How's everyone doing? I'm doing well myself, and I'm grateful that I get to wait out the pandemic in the comfort of my own home. There's a lot of suffering out there, and I just wish that there's more that I can do to help. But alas, all one can do is to make the most of the hand that we are dealt with in life.

Speaking of opening hands (segue!), I came across this weird opening hand in a ranked game against a Kagero user in Vanguard Zero. I was wondering how everyone would approach this mulligan? Check the comments below for the decklist that I've used in this game. I'll also reveal my answer and some screenshots of the game as it unfolded :)

I've been pleasantly surprised to have opened my 4th perfect guard and 3rd Silent Tom from opening 25 boosters today. This is the list that I'm currently running at Legend 11, and I probably won't need to update this until Tsukiyomi ride chain gets released in about a months time. I'll try to write a primer on this deck once I get to play more games with it. Enjoy :)

Hi all, Mox here. Today is supposed to have been the last day of the Luzon-wide lockdown here in the Philippines. However, it has been extended up until April 30 in accordance with the recommendation of healthcare officials to the government. While it is unfortunate that we would have to endure a couple of weeks more of the quarantine, I would at least have the time to update this page. (Yes, this is my first post. Lol). I'm currently playing Arknights and Vanguard Zero on mobile, but I might be uploading some Legends of Runeterra content when the game get its global release in April 30, 2020.

Thanks and stay safe everyone :)
