⭐️NEW FALL WORKSHOP SERIES⭐️
September-November

⭐️Hey Everybody,
I’m super excited to offer this container in collaboration with ✨shea in the catskills✨ It’s called Getting Thru It Together: The Living Language of Divination

⭐️It’s for anyone who wants to practice their divination skills in real time in the company of others during what promises to be an extremely tumultuous and confusing time. We purposely chose to hold this series during eclipse season and the run up to the presidential election in the USA (when people will really need it). This series is also open to anyone who is looking for new ways to practice being in relationship with others and the world around them, and to artists of all stripes who want to bring new skills and perspectives to their work.

⭐️We will be using the tenets of astrological practice: archetype, story and character arcs, historical-mythological-philosophical contexts and more. We’ll be examining the extraordinary transits as they happen and working with our own natal charts. ✨shea✨ will facilitate tarot practice that focuses on working with image, imagination, and the development of intuition, again, in real time; using the stories, emotions, and sensations unfolding around us and within, as they happen. We’ll also explore the decans and correspondences between astrology and tarot.

⭐️You’ll learn by doing, observing, creating, and communicating. No lectures. No slides. Since we believe that this particular time that we’re living in requires us to invent, create, think critically, and innovate, we’ll also explore how divination practice helps us shift paradigms through somatic/body work, writing, and image-making (aka remediation and medicine-making).

⭐️We are accepting registrations for 2 cohorts: Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. All sessions are on Zoom. We’ve just announced this and both cohorts are already half-full. So if this sounds like something for you, I’d register sooner rather than later. There are more details (and more info about ✨shea✨) on their website. All links, including registration are located in ‘s bio and linktree. DM if you have any questions. XO

♈ This Aries season I hope each of us takes time to explore our own bodies as if we were infants again.

What's this thing do anyway?

Taste your fingers, tug your ears, stretch your toes out and curl them back in again. Stick your tongue out and force out unfamiliar sounds. Repeat sounds that feel good and cry out if you're hurt. Incorporate a little bit of tummy time each and everyday and be gentle when you wipe your face.

Explore what feels good and find where your edges are.

Forget everything you thought you knew and get reacquainted with yourself with a fresh set of eyes. Pretend like this is your first day and you've never been in this body before.

♈ Spring Eclipse Season 2024: Lunar Eclipse Libra and Solar Eclipse Aries

♎ In today’s episode Cory is joined by astrologer Camille Michelle Gray to tease out the many facets of this eclipse season, which happens to define this year’s Aries season. They discuss the relationship between the naked desire of Aries and the intellectual accoutrements of Libra, how we develop our sense of worth and agency, and all the ways we might manipulate the feedback we receive in our relationships.

♓ This eclipse season is heavily toned by planets in Pisces, and the eclipses themselves are ruled by Venus and Mars in Pisces. This adds an enormity of sensitivity, idealism, and confusion surrounding bold actions we may want to take at this time. As if that weren’t enough, Mercury retrogrades through Aries during this season, adding more heat, demands, and (seemingly) urgent communications. The asteroid Chiron in Aries is also deeply influential in this series and points to places that could use some healing, especially around topics of force, conflict, and basic existence.

🔥Towards the end of the show they answer some audience questions:
▪️What is the role of fate/free will in astrology and during eclipse season?
▪️How are the Aries-Libra eclipses different from the Ta**us-Scorpio eclipses we just had?
▪️What are some recommended practices for this eclipse season, including helpful media to consume?

🌊Some alternative titles for this episode included: “The Wisdom in the Suck,” “You’re Over it Because it’s Over,” and “Reality and Illusion: Two Great Tastes That Taste Great Together.” All joking aside, this Pisces season is a murky, heavy wall of fog, with the crackling energy of disruption trying to break through.

♓Today, Cory is joined by astrologers Mandee Sheeler and Jillian Sweeney to talk about the ways that the big transits of the season might register in our personal lives. This episode is especially good for anyone with personal planets or angles in Pisces, people with strong Saturn-Neptune signatures, and people with strong Aquarius-Ta**us signatures.

Topics discussed:
•Saturn/Neptune conjunctions to natal suns/moons in Pisces
•The Saturn-Neptune story for the next two years
•Transposing the traditional significations of Saturn and Neptune
•Fact, Dis(Illusion), and Projection
•Overwhelm, Malaise and Entropy
•Emotional Engulfment and Self-Parenting
•The Organic-Synthetic, the Human-Machine, and Sustainable Designs for the future/collective

Transits covered:
•Full moon Virgo 2/24
•Mercury Cazimi triple conjunction w/ Saturn 2/28
•Venus conjoins Mars Aquarius 2/22
•Aquarius Venus square Ta**us Jupiter 2/24
•Aquarius Mars square Ta**us Jupiter 2/27
•Aquarius Venus square Ta**us Uranus 3/3
•Aquarius Mars square Ta**us Uranus 3/9

Hey Everybody, I’m excited to share this incredibly Aquarian conversation I had with Anastasia Wasko earlier this month. I felt that I had to put SOMETHING together for this milestone Aquarius season, and I think we found ways in, out, around, and through all of the exciting transits of the next four weeks.

We talked outsider culture, marginalization, decentralization, peer pressure, being the as***le in the room, dissenting, distance, objectivity, and how distance and objectivity can lead to greater care for ALL humans, an Aquarian take on mental health, parapsychology, psychosynthesis, neurodivergence, the interconnected mind, relationship anarchy, extended cognition, technology, media, Uranus, Saturn, and what happens when your license plate reads “UFO GIRL”

Transit coverage includes:
Sun-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn and their ingress into Aquarius 1/20

Mercury-Pluto conjunction 2/5

Mars-Pluto conjunction 2/14

Venus-Pluto conjunction 2/17

Full moon Leo (opposite Pluto, square Jupiter) 1/25

🌾WELCOME VIRGO SEASON🌾

Use Me Well/ The Eroticism of Care

🌾I’m often tempted to defend Virgo because at face-value it’s a misunderstood sign. And it’s often talked about in a quite boring fashion. It’s not just about cleaning, nit-picking, and criticizing. And it’s roles are not only that of martyr, humble servant, and virgin. Within this archetype are all manner or medicine/poison, the auto-erotic, the unrelenting task-master, and the consort of god...whatever your interpretation of god is, to name a few. Virgo is the last sign we visit before we enter relationship with others and the outside world. In Virgo we prepare the soul, body, mind, or our craft to be of the highest quality and integrity before we share it with others. And yes, often times the thing Virgo is sharing is a service to others. So in order to offer the best, it spends a lot of time, energy and care for itself. This is where some of the correlations to the hermit card in the tarot can be drawn. It does the dance of hermetically sealing itself off from the world to cultivate and care for themselves or something they’re working on, then it breaks its own seal to deliver service to the world. This is a dance. Remember we’re dealing with Mercury.

🌾When Virgo gets in trouble it's usually because it either gets stuck in the hermit phase of isolation and maybe working something into the ground. Or, they deplete themselves by over-serving. Virgo is best when it’s consistently moving between these two states. Virgo instinctively knows that it can’t reach its loftiest aspirations and come into ecstatic relationship with others and the world without preparing itself; without doing the humble work of getting its hands dirty, without paying attention to function, and refining techniques in order to serve the dream, or vision. Virgo, being of Mercury, builds bridges, gateways, and ladders—mechanical constructs for the sublime to come down and reach us. Virgo/Mercury uses these things to help guide love, artistry, healing and compassion to the body of the earth and bodies of flesh. (Cont’d at )

S2 E34 | Leo's Transition to Virgo Season: Two Kinds of Passion

Today, Cory Nakasue takes us through the dazzling and exacting astrology of the week. We say good-bye to a Leo season that explores one type of passion, and we welcome a Virgo season that invites a different kind of passion.

Cory also dives into the archetypes of Virgo that are less talked about: the medicine/poison maker, the auto-erotic, the hermetic task-master, and the consort of god.

Major transits discussed include: Venus' square to Jupiter, Mars' opposition to Neptune, the sun's entrance into Virgo, Mercury's station retrograde, and the sun's opposition to Saturn. It's a busy week!

We also hear some Leo-to-Virgo inspired songs from: the Black Keys, The Bangles, The Rolling Stones, Bananarama, Echo and the Bunnymen, Bill Withers, Faith No More, and Sinead O'Connor.

❤️‍🔥WELCOME LEO SEASON (and Venus Retrograde)!❤️‍🔥

What Do Your Burn For?

❤️‍🔥This Leo season is one for the books. Not only does Venus station retrograde in Leo on the same day that the sun enters, but as the sun and Venus move through the sign, they make multiple connections to Jupiter and Uranus while there (this actually continues into Virgo/Libra season). When Venus backtracks through a sign, it’s already in violation of its trademark balance, grace, and consensus. Contacts with Jupiter and Uranus add indulgence, audacity, and rebellion to the mix. It’s Venus gone rogue!

❤️‍🔥Having the sun and a wild Venus in the same sign for the duration of the season, doubles down on the classic ardor, artistic zeal, and playfulness of Leo...but with a wanton twist. Lots of astrologers have predicted a sexually amped up summer, and that is one possible expression, but there are many others. For instance, I’m sensing that in addition to a hot-sex summer, we’re also in for a hot-labor summer. Venus’ retrograde brings out the spirit of Leo’s opposite sign, Aquarius. Leo represents leaders, centrality, and consistency, and Aquarius symbolizes the masses, decentralization, and aberration. If we consider governmental structures and other institutions as extensions of our families of origin; with a head of household who calls the shots, and we, the children, as obedient underlings, it would stand to reason that we have not yet grown up. One of the first signs that we are starting to grow up is expressing disagreement with leaders, authority figures, and anyone who puts their individual worth above the collective.

❤️‍🔥This Venus retrograde in Leo, doing its best impression of Aquarius, is an excellent role model for change. While retrograde, Venus is less concerned about consensus, and more interested in creating what it needs and expressing desires regardless of external approval. It’s less concerned about being thought of as pretty, and more interested in defining for itself what beauty is. And, instead of charming and placating in the name of winning favor, it’s more willing to do battle. (Cont’d )

Gemini Season: The Power of the Question (full moon prep)

Today, Cory and astrologer Mandee Sheeler discuss the power of "the question," Gemini's power tool. In a couple of week's Cory will discuss the art of "the question." More than any absolute truth, or correct answer, our lived experience depends on what, how, and why we ask; something to consider as we prepare for a full moon next week.

Today is also an audience question show! Mandee selected some questions that have to do with personality tests and philosophy. Ask a different question, become a different person. Ask a different question, live a different truth. If life has no inherent meaning, maybe our only job is to create meaning with rich, textured and exciting questions.

This week's astro-weather includes: the sun's square to Saturn, Jupiter's conjunction with the north node, and Venus' trine to Neptune.

Questions answered in this episode:

What are your thoughts on “personality tests” and where/how does astrology fit into them?

I have always struggled to get the same answers on personality tests… would something like astrology maybe be more helpful? I feel so out of the loop not knowing my myer briggs or enneagram type.

What is the point of “philosophy”? Is it possible to over philosophize or intellectualize the human experience?

We love answering your questions! Each full moon episode features questions from the audience. Please send your questions to [email protected].

They also discuss the dramatic T-square in fixed signs this week. Major transits include: the sun's entrance into Gemini, Mars' square to Jupiter, and Mars' square to the lunar nodes.

In the second half of the show they share anecdotes about Gemini from a dancer's perspective, and Jillian teaches us about the divination tool, the I-Ching, and shares an I-Ching reading for the rest of Gemini season.

🌑Welcome Ta**us/Eclipse Season🌑

GROWING PAINS (+biodiversity)

🌑The sun in Ta**us conjuncts the north node in Ta**us on the 24th, a few days after its square to Pluto. Now that we are in the thick of eclipse season, this really points to our attitudes about change, control, and, virtues/vices. During this season of change, we need to examine our attachment to having things the way we want them; which usually translates to whether we think something is good or bad. In astrology, there’s no objective good or bad, just the ego’s desire to have its way. When we set goals, or go after things, we will usually judge ourselves as winners or failures based on whether we were able to make what we want happen. If we win, we may assign ourselves the virtues of determination and hard work. That feels good to the ego and it bolsters the illusion that we have ultimate control over our lives. We forget about things like privilege; generational wealth, health, timing, circumstance, and luck. We also forget that in doggedly pursuing our heart’s desire, that we may have closed ourselves off to hundreds of options that might have been better, but will have required change. In order to open to multitudes of possibility and support, we have to expand. We have to admit that maybe we’re not in control of everything, and that we’re dependent on a confluence of a million other things. It’s hard to admit that to ourselves because then, we don’t get to revel in the process of proving over and over to our egos that we know what’s best for ourselves and we can bend the world to our will. In light of all that, how impressive is it then, to prop up the illusion that life is good if you can procure what you want? How free are we if we are slaves to false comforts and static ideas of who we are? As astrologer Rob Brezsny says, “Any project that doesn't have at least some growing pains may lack ambition. If we hope to transcend our previous limits and become a more complete expression of our destiny, we must stretch ourselves in ways that inconvenience our old selves.”

🌑If you find that you just keep “winning,” and you just keep hitting all your marks and targets…full post
