“A CONSTANT BUZZ” will be out in late 2024 through Not Sorry Records! I’m beyond excited to be a part of .band’s third album.

They were the first band I ever interviewed for my fanzine, the first band I interviewed for an U.S. magazine, and they’ve also been regulars at the Booze Cruise Festivals. If you haven’t guessed already, they’re one of my all-time favorite bands!

I'm super excited about this album and working with SHELLYCOAT in general, especially since we've known each other for years. The first three singles are incredible, and I get goosebumps every time I hear 'The Darkness Shines So Bright.' I really hope you’ll enjoy the album as much as I do.

When life gives you terrible audio files, or, no audio files at all, we pivot.
This week I’m pulling back the curtain a bit to introduce myself and play you a few songs, live from my living room. We got new songs, super old songs, and even one or two unfinished songs - spot the difference if you can.
l’ve been a) a human and b) writing songs, for as long as I can remember, and here’s a little context. I wanna know what makes my guests tick, what drives them to keep making art - so I asked myself that question.
And my own answer, why do I keep doing it? How do I ever accomplish anything? Well. Sometimes I don’t. But sometimes I do, and the times that I do keep going and accomplish things - no matter how small - the magic feeling that accompanies making something from nothing. That’s why I’m still here.

This week we dive a little further into the local punk rock family tree with Aiko from . We talk music videos and vocal remedies (Aiko got me hooked on olbas tropfen just a little bit...) and we also get the scoop on their sophomore record - Fatigue, due out September 2024 on Gunner Records. Though they are a newer band, Chartreux is a band that proves the power of sticktoitiveness, each member having played music for over half of their lives at this point. DIY down to the instrument tracking, we find out a little bit about how Chartreux makes it happen.

We’re coming to you this week from the past. In April I had the opportunity to chat with one of my favourite no-nonsense good time bands from Switzerland, .
At the time of this conversation, The High Times were just about to head out on a tour with their Fraternal twin, Überyou. They’ve shared some serious mileage over the years, and they have the stories to prove it.
Experience second hand joy with me as they let us in on their punk rock friendship bubble, and let’s learn together about Cheese rolling, dog walking for ABBA, and working on art with your idols.
Their summer has been stacked with gigs and they’re not finished yet.
Find them performing around Germany and Switzerland, and beyond (maybe?) in July.

A punk band with a knack for timing more than a dbeat, Resolutions took a break from playing shows in 2019 before writing and releasing their sophomore record “Monster Mirror” (End Hits) in May 2024. We talk a bit about how they got here, why they keep doing it and the value of trying to express different perspectives through music.
