Do you ever feel like you need a break from coffee? It's rare, but sometimes a peppermint hot chocolate is the best way to enjoy a drink while working on my next novel. ☕️🖤

Hey there, Ghosties! .a.wolfe here with a special post. Have you listened to our interview with in our episode Ghost Hunting, Serial Killers & Runes, Oh My!? If not, then be sure to check it out so you understand the significance of these three photos!

First off, the wine Arlene was drinking that aided in our laughter-filled conversation. Isn't the bottle beautiful??

The second photo pictures Arlene and her ghost hunting group 🖤❤️

And the last photo is one of Arlene's note-taking from her past tarot reading we did a few episodes back. We especially loved this one! It meant a lot that our reading inspired and triggered so many thoughts and questions.

Day 25: Fall Scenery🍁🍂
Here in the state of Indiana, the weather never knows what it wants to do. All the photos here have been taken since the official start of fall in September. We've had greenery, pretty colors, and the dreaded snow. Fall is usually associated with the pretty colors, which is also my favorite part, but I thought I would share some photos that display the reality of the fall season in Northern Indiana. 🖤🍁🎃🍂🧡

If you saw my post from yesterday, you might have realized I skipped Day 21 of I didn't realize until I was halfway through writing the post and I did not feel like starting over. is probably rolling her eyes and laughing at me right now. But anyhow, here it is!

Day 21: Books & Pumpkins
You might recognize some of these books. Veronica and I have talked about a few on the podcast, and some are classics. Here's the full list of the books pictured from bottom to top:

1. A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
We read this for our Book Talk Tuesday (which we have yet to record 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️)

2. The Merciless II by Danielle Vega
Demonic YA that I fell in love with

3. These Toxic Things by Rachel Howzell Hall
A novel I've been dying to read but haven't yet

4. The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson
A classic psychological horror novel with multiple movie and TV adaptions

5. Die For Me by Cynthia Eden
I read this for a graduate class and fell in love with the characters and plot

6. They All Fall Down by Roxanne St. Claire
Another novel I've been dying to read but haven't yet

7. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Written by the mother of Gothic literature, it's another classic with lots of movie and TV adaptions

8. The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner
Another Book Talk Tuesday read, and we're excited for the release of book 2!

9. The Family Tree by Nicole Mabry and Steph Mullin
Our first Book Talk Tuesday read that we STILL talk about because it's so good and we've gotten lots of people hooked on it

10. The Christopher Killer by Alane Ferguson
A book series I read in high school about a teenage morgue assistant that I've mentioned a few times on the podcast

Hey, Ghosties! .a.wolfe here with another catch up post for our Don't worry, and I are working hard on getting back on schedule after some personal issues took place (if you know, you know). Anyhow, here it is!

Day 14: Pumpkin Spice 🎃
I LOVE pumpkin spice and not just during spooky season. I think it's over-hyped now, especially with the basic white girl jokes, but that's fine. In the first photo you'll see how I like to make my coffee, with whipped cream, some extra spice, and vanilla wafer sticks.

Day 15: Black & White 🖤
The second photo I took awhile back when I was trying to get into bookstagram. It didn't work because I didn't like the vibes and I hadn't found my right place in the book genres. Now that I have, I enjoy blending my author platform with other dark romance writers and readers. Most of which are on TikTok soooo yeah.

Day 16: Rain/Water 🌧💧
I love rainy weather. Fall is my favorite season because of the colors, rain storms, and cool weather. My favorite thing about rain is the smell of wet concrete. I don't know what it is, but it has a smell and I love it!

Day 17: Purple & Orange Books 📙💜
The books in picture four are some of the colored books I have. Most of them are YA novels, and even though I read Dark Romance and New Adult now, I still love colored bookshelves!

Day 18: Spooky Sweater 👻
My sweater in photo five is one of my favs! It features many OG horror villains and I got it off Etsy—which is dangerous fu***ng site to be on during spooky season!

Day 19: Cozy Fireplace Read 📚 🔥
I took photo six a few years ago while visiting friends. We loved reading by the fire. I still do and I even bought an electric fireplace TV stand so I can sit by a fire during any season.

Day 20: Sunset 🌅
After a great day of adventures, I enjoy watching the sunset with my family. Photo seven was taken before my youngest daughter was born on a beach in Michigan.

Day 21: Incense 🧨
Burning incense is not always my favorite. I'm very picky with what I burn because it makes my allergies go haywire—oil diffusers don't so I think it's just the smoke. But I do enjoy burning sage every few months to...

My favorite series growing up was Vampire Academy. I loved the world and characters. They've since made a movie and there's a new TV show, too. I have both because they butchered the plot and tone of the books, but for some reason I can't stop watching them 😅

Day 2: Pumpkins

I didn't do anything too special today. When I first got married, our first Halloween together (same month we moved into our own place together) I carved a fake pumpkin to commemorate the time. Since our last name if Wolfe, and our favorite animals are wolves, it was the image I chose to do. While it's stayed plain all these years, I plan to decorate it with some black, blue, and purple roses to spark it up. Carving pumpkins is my all time favorite Spooky season activity. Grabbing the pumpkin guts, baking the seeds, all of it ❤️❤️

I had this movie on VHS when I was little and would watch this movie over and over. Come to think of it it's been awhile since I've watched this gem. Maybe I'll do that tonight 😃 Also if you don't know what a VHS is google it 😂

Hey Ghosties .a.wolfe here with my post for the Goodbye September Supernatural Challenge Veronica and I are doing. Since stole a good one, aka The Trickster, I decided to go with my next favorite character/s which are Jo and Claire 🖤 Supernatural was known for killing off its beloved female characters, but these hit the hardest (yes yes Charlie too but I CANNOT talk about that character).

For me, Jo was the first look into the happily ever after Dean was never going to get. I think their relationship set the tone that Dean was never going to be happy and the show foreshadowed that from the start.

On the other hand, Claire's character showed audiences the impact supernatural creatures had on the lives of innocent and normal people. Though Castiel had good intentions, his possession of Claire's father is essentially what ruined Claire's life and set her on the path of monster hunting.

Hey Ghosties! .a.wolfe here with a tarot post! The other night and I were practicing our tarot intuition and trying new spreads. I decided to try this spread I found on Pinterest made by to get to know the deck a bit more.

It's important for me to share that this deck has ONLY been used for me and Veronica and the podcast readings. The answers the deck gave us were interrupted by both of us and really represented us and our shared goals. We felt true gratification and understanding during our reading getting to know these cards and I'm excited we did this reading as it helped me connect with them more.
