Sedan or crossover? Here's how the Hyundai IONIQ 6 stacks up against the IONIQ 5 regarding sales.

This is very interesting, considering the IONIQ 6 has a lower starting price, and both are based on the same platform.

Here is why you can’t believe an OEM’s claimed performance figure. These two cars are just as quick as each other, but not according to their respective automakers.

MINI claims the Cooper SE goes from 0-60 in 6.9 seconds. However, MotorTrend Group recorded 6.0 seconds in a real world test utilizing the one-foot-rollout. Buyers love seeing a car that outperforms quoted figures.

But some automakers choose a different path. Ford Motor Company claims the Mustang Mach-E Standard Range RWD can get to sixty in 5.8 seconds with the rollout. But MotorTrend got 6.0 in the same test.

The Mach-E should have a 1.1 second advantage in terms of acceleration, but real world testing clearly shows that isn’t the case.

Yesterday I took delivery of my first *true* EV, the 2023 Cooper SE Signature. While I will write a review of it soon, my first impressions are very good. The Cooper SE’s interior is incredibly well-built and the infotainment is excellent— far better than that of the Mach-E and ID.4. The performance is also great as its handling and power delivery are top notch. Finally, unlike Teslas, the SE seems to actually attain its estimated range. Overall, I’m impressed, and will share my full review soon!

The 2023 Chevrolet Bolt now starts at $25,600! 🤯

I applaud Chevrolet for delivering such an impressive package for an incredibly affordable price. 259 miles of range for $30,000 would be a huge milestone, and Chevy clearly beat that figure. At this price point, the Bolt and Bolt EUV are truly EVs for the masses (plus, their low prices don't have to rely on the federal tax credit). If Chevy markets it well, I expect to see these at nearly every street corner.

I spent some time with ‘s 2022 BMW i4 earlier this week. Dare I say this was the best sub-$60,000 EV I’ve ever driven. With impressive handling, and a punchy 335 horsepower powertrain, the i4 is a admirable entry from the German automaker. Full review on .official coming soon.
