🏆Meet the jury of Slava Internarional Cello Competition!!

Today we present the Chairman! 🎻Michal Dmochowski 🎻

Winner of some of the most prestigious national and international awards, such as the Kazierz Wilkomirski in Poznań (Poland), the Ludvig van Beethoven International Cello Competition in Hradec nad Moravicí (Czech Republic, the Young Cellists' Competition in Elblag (Poland), the International Cello Competition in Liezen (Austria), the International Chamber Music Competition in Łódź (Poland) or the Witold Lutoslawski International Cello Competition in Warsaw, Michal Dmochowski quickly began an international career that has led him to collaborate with artists of the stature of Alexander Anissimov, Teresa Berganza, Fabio Bidini, Zakhar Bron, Gerard Caussé, José María Gallardo del Rey, Enrique García Asensio, Siegfried Ma**er, Paul Meyer, Zsolt Nagy, Hansjörg Schellenberger, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Radovan Vlatkovic or Jörg Widmann.

Michal Dmochowski has been a professor by competitive examination at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Jacinto Guerrero in Toledo since 2000. At the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía he has been the assistant professor of Natalia Shakhovskaya's Chair of Cello from 2001 to 2014 and, currently, of Ivan Monighetti's Chair of Cello. He also serves as a cello professor at the Katarina Gurska Higher Center, and Progreso Musical in Madrid (Spain)

Strongly committed to education, the cellist has been artistic director, between 2012 and 2016, of the successful Europe at the Gate project, a music education program aimed at professional music conservatories in the Polish region of Silesia, funded and commissioned by the European Union, which has been acclaimed as one of the best for music education in the Old Continent.

⭐️MEET THE JURY OF SLAVA INTERNATIONAL CELLO COMPETITION✨

Cecilia García🎻

One of the most fruitful personalities of her generation.
She studied with David Fernandez, David Apellaniz and Michal Dmochowski. Completing his training with masterclasses of renowned cellists such as Csaba Onczay, Kazimier Michalik, Xavier Gagnepain, Fernando Arias, Philippe Muller…

She was accepted to study for her Master's degree at the Royal College of Music in London. Also at the prestigious International Menuhin Academy in Gstaad and at t the Frederic Chopin University in Warsaw with Dean Prof. Strahl.

Since 2020 he has been directing the course and festival "Festival de musica de la Pobla de Vallbona" which is already in its 4th edition. She was coordinator of the Bachelor of Musical Progress. She is currently an assistant in Professor Dmochowski's class.
Cecilia is jury member of National and international competition as Paderewski Competition or Slava International Cello Competition.

She combines her musical activity with her position as Director of Communication of Global IberArtis S.L.

✨MEET THE JURY OF SLAVA INTERNATIONAL CELLO COMPETITIOK ✨

🎻🎻Tomasz Lisiecki🎻🎻

In 1999 he graduated with honors from the Higher Academy of Music. I. J. Paderewski in Poznan in the class of professor Stanislaw Pokorski. After graduating, he continued his studies with maestro Kazimierz Michalik in Warsaw. He also perfected his skills in courses with Roman Jablonski, Zara Nelsova and Wiktoria Yagling.
In the years 2003-2005 he studied at the Universität der Künste in Berlin in the baroque cello class of Markus Möllenbeck and Phoebe Carrai. She perfected her early music performance at the Bach-Händel Akademie masterclasses in Karlsruhe with Phoebe Carrai and with Jaap Ter Linden. In 2012, he received a doctorate of arts on the basis of a thesis devoted to the chamber music of F. Chopin and X. Scharwenka, and in 2019 he obtained the degree of habilitated doctor. He teaches cello at the Higher Academy of Music in Poznan.
Tomasz Lisiecki is one of the cellists who combine stage practice in the repertoire of romantic, contemporary and early music

Meet the jury… IAGOBA FANLO🎻

✨Professor of the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón, he has given master classes in centers such as the Royal Academy of Music of London, Liceu de Barcelona or the Academy of Music of Barcelona.

He collaborates regularly as a teacher and director of the Junger Künstler Festival in Bayreuth and has been a violoncello tutor at the
cello tutor of the European Union Youth Orchestra (E.U.Y.O).
His recordings of the music for cello and piano of the Generation of '27 as well as the Six
Suites for solo cello by J.S. Bach, have received the best reviews from the specialized media,
being a disc specially recommended in newspapers like El País, El Mundo or ABC and the magazines CD
Compact, Ritmo, The Strad and Scherzo.
In 1994 he was selected to perform E. Elgar's concerto under the baton of Y. Menuhin and Lynn Harrell
Harrell, making his debut with the latter and the orchestra of the Royal Academy of London that same year.
