ATLANTA! The Ga-400 SB exit to Abernathy Road in Sandy Springs has been moved all the way up to the North Springs MARTA station flyover ramp. There is very little signage because it's another temporary ramp. Be careful! There have already been a few wrecks and they only moved it Sunday! (Helicopter video courtesy of iHeart/TTWN)

MAJOR TRUCK WRECKS IN ATLANTA! There's an overturned tractor-trailer NB on the Downtown Connector (75/85) in the curve at Williams.

And...Two trucks collided this morning on I-285 EB in the lane restrictions at Ga-400 in Sandy Springs. One of the trucks reportedly fell down onto Peachtree Dunwoody Rd at the base of "Pill Hill" shutting down the on-ramp.

Right now (0630A) either the Ga-400 or Ashford Dunwoody Road exits are your best bet. Traffic is backed up past Riverside coming in from Cobb County.

ATLANTA -- UPDATE -- No fatalities now reported on I-75 NB just past Hugh Howell Rd (x252). All lanes are blocked for an investigation after one fatality was initially reported from the scene.

The incident reportedly involves a police car, a HERO unit and two other vehicles. Major delays coming from the Downtown Connector.

CHARLESTON (470-265-3410): Parking garages: The city of Charleston has opened the following garages to City residents, free of charge until Saturday:

• Aquarium Garage – 24 Calhoun Street
• East Bay/ Prioleau – 25 Prioleau Street
• Queen Street – 93 Queen Street
• Visitor Center – 63 Mary Street
• 99 West Edge – 99 West Edge Street

All cars must be removed from the garages by 5 p.m., Saturday, October 1. Anyone who uses the garages must follow the following process:

• Vehicles need to be removed by designated time to be eligible for free parking.
• Pull a ticket upon entering
• When leaving – Press the black “assistance” button on the upper right-hand side of the call box. An attendant will respond to assist you.
• State you were parking to avoid the flooding.
• Provide your name and address when requested.
• Insert your ticket into the machine (if you have not already done so)
• Attendant will raise the gate for you to exit

No boats, trailers or golf carts are allowed.

CHARLESTON: Sustained winds at 20mph Thursday morning with gusts into the low-40's makes driving hazardous across bridges and elevated roads mainly for high profile vehicles, eg., Busses, RV's and tractor-trailers. A tractor trailer caught fire on I-285WB underneath Ashford Dunwoody Road overpass! The interstate has been CLOSED in both directions. Almost 500,000 vehicles traverse this area daily! Incident Command anticipates an ETC of 8:00 tonight.

The ramps are open! Traffic on Ashford Dunwoody Rd NB coming from Brookhaven can go east on 285. And SB traffic on Ashford Dunwoody Rd (coming from Perimeter Mall) can go WB.

ATLANTA:

MAJOR TRUCK FIRE SHUTS DOWN I-285 IN DUNWOODY! A Truck has caught fire under the I-285-WB overpass at Ashford Dunwoody Road. Westbound traffic is being detoured at the Dunwoody Exit (Exit-30) at N. Peachtree/Shallowford Rd. The Eastbound side has been closed as well because the bridge may be "partially compromised" AND there's a natural gas pipeline that runs underneath it as well!

HEADS UP! GADOT has moved the I-285 WB exit ramp to Ashford Dunwoody (Perimeter Mall) about a half/mile back towards Chamblee Dunwoody Rd! This is for the new 285/400 configuration they're working on this weekend which includes another 285 WB ramp shutdown to 400. GIRD YOUR TRAFFIC LOINS!
