RDGs Final Post:

As of today, Rookie Dad Gaming will not be continuing on the streaming journey.

Life has many seasons, and Rookie Dad Gaming’s season for streaming has come to an end.

Over the past month I have been pushing myself to stream, and it shouldn’t be like that. With the mix of Family, life, full time work and other commitments, it’s been hard to find strength to produce content for you all. Me and my Family are well for any concerns out there, it’s just a season coming to an end for RDG. 🙂

Firstly, I’d like to thank Dobbo and Beau for all the hundreds of hours you both have put into the stream to help get where we are today. You both definitely have the skills and knowledge to excel in any future endeavors of content creating. 🤙

Secondly, you the RDG Crew! Thank you to every single one of you that supported us and believed in us. Thank you to the OG followers (you know who you are), for being there from the beginning. RDG would have never of got to where we are now without you. Thank you to all of the fellow content creators that I’ve got to know well. Thank you for the tips, tricks, knowledge, and support over our journey, I honestly appreciate that! 🙏

Streaming has opened so many doors in regard to meeting other people around the world and their gorgeous families. You, the Crew of RDG have help build such a beautiful, loving community full of joy and hours of in-game banter. Some of the achievements we obtained for fellow followers and other communities is such a testament that there are good people in this world that would help another human being in the time of need. I will be forever thankful for the hours spent building friendships with some of the most down-to-earth and beautiful people ever! 🥰

Lastly, Mrs. Rookie. You have been here every step of this journey and supported in any way you could. Thank you for putting up with my late night raging at Apex hackers and me waking up the household because of that…. Haha 🤣

Yes, it’s an end to an era, but gaming still runs through my veins, so I’ll see you in the lobbies! 🔫

Crew, this is a mental health check-in! With everything that the world & life has thrown at you in the recent & current times, are you OK?

Everyone should know that RDG's inbox is always open if you ever need a chat. Remember to do those "self-care" activities to help keep your mental state healthy and positive. Examples could be, exercise, gaming, good hygiene, playing/listening to music, playing sport, reading, scrapbooking, content creating, the list goes on!!

And Crew, remember, if you're asking someone "R U OK", make sure you're ready for that response of "no, I'm not, I'm struggling". Support where you can and encourage that person to speak up and if need be, seek professional support.

💙 Apex, I’m very impressed…. 💙

Su***de awareness is something that is beginning to be talked about much more in our current generation, but why has it taken hundreds of years to get to this point? How many precious lives had to be lost for this to get to the stage it is in today’s society?

With the current pandemic, lockdowns and restrictions, many people have suffered heavy mental health impacts due to isolation. Pre Covid-19, in Australia alone, 8 Australians die from su***de EVERY DAY, and in the latest studies they expect this to increase 50% due to the isolation.

These stats really hit home, that’s 12 people gone that would be someone’s son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father, wife, husband, best friend, work colleague, gaming buddy, the list goes on.

"A semicolon is used when a writer could have ended their sentence, but chose not to."

At RDG, we can’t stress enough to speak up and reach out. Our inbox is always open, and the conversation will be private and confidential. Always check in on your mates and loved ones to help spark that conversation.

If you can’t talk to someone you know for help, you can always reach out to other people that is private and confidential (links below).
