Chester "Kapitan" Gonzales, Nexplay Predator Solid team captain fulfills Dogie's dream after NXP Solid qualifies for the MPL Season 6.
Before becoming the team captain of one of the most prominent MLBB pro team today. Chester was actually a very skilled basketball player who won several tournaments in the Philippines but he was forced to quit playing the sport he loves after an accident happened during a championship game 8 years ago which badly injured his spinal cord.
"Kailangan ko mag decide if mag papa-opera ako kase medyo maselan yung operation, If ever mag failed yung operation, hindi na talaga ako makakagalaw at nakahiga nalang ako habang buhay."
Chester decided not to undergo an operation for his spinal cord cause it's too risky and just decided to continue with his life despite not being able to walk properly anymore.
Because of this, Chester became very depressed and he said in an interview with The Nationals that watching Akosi Dogie's stream helped him a lot in overcoming this depression and he is the one who inspired him to become a pro player.
"Tuwing depressed ako, Manonood lang ako sa stream nya, Sobrang laking tulong yung ginawa sakin ng tao na yun. Life changing. Gusto ko syang yakapin pag na-meet ko sya."
After showing excellent performance in the tournaments that he joined, His success in the MLBB pro scene continues until he received an invitation to play as one of the members of his idol's newly formed esports team.
The last time that a team that was created by Dogie qualified for the MPL was way back season 2, That's why qualifying for the tournament again has been one of Dogie's biggest dreams for the past seasons.
Chester asked Dogie to trust them and he promised that their team will be playing in the Mobile Legends Pro League this season.
He fulfilled this promise last night, July 26, 2020 after Chester's team, Nexplay Predator Solid won their final game in the main qualifiers which makes them one of the official teams who will be competing in the upcoming MPL Season 6 this august.
The entire Aether clan celebrated their victory in the gaming room but Dogie started becoming very emotional after seeing Chester jump out of happiness. Something that he has avoided doing ever since the accident happened.
He gave him a hug and thanked him and the rest of the team for their hardwork and perseverance.
