7th Abia State House of Assembly has resumed plenary today Tuesday 1st February, 2022 with a minute silent in honour of Late Eze Dr. Anagha Ezikpe.

The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, while announcing the sad development at plenary, described late Dr. Ezikpe as one of the founding fathers and Statesman in the State.

He urge his colleagues to attend his funeral Service and also pray that the Almighty God will grant his Soul eternal rest and give his family members and Abians the fortitude to bear the great loss.

The House adjourned plenary to reconvene on Monday 7th February 2022.

Abala Ibeme Loss A Senior VGN Member In Abia State.



It was a sad moment today Friday 28th, January 2022, as the remains of the Deputy Superintendent of Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) in Abia State, Late Apostle Chukwuemeka Chima Sunday Enyinna (a.k.a Man of the people), joined his ancestors in his country home, Umu-ulelu village, Abala Autonomous Community in Obingwa LGA, Abia State.

The State Commandant of VGN in Abia State, Amb. Dr. Endurance Ugoala while interacting with newsmen at the funeral ground, described late Chima as a gallant Senior member of VGN who was humble, proactive, and brilliant in performing his assignments during the time he was alive, adding that he died when the group needed his Services most.

He also promise to assist Late Chima's only Son in payment of his school fees and also prayed that the Almighty God will give his family members, people of Abala and VGN families at large the fortitude to bear the irreplarable loss and grant his soul eternal rest.

Highlight of the funeral Service include, Special parade by VGN Members in his honour, prayers and testimonies by Brotherhood of the Cross and Stars Aba, his family member and in-law.

The Funeral service was graced by Abia State VGN mammoth crowd, relatives, friends, and host of others.

ABIA ASSEMBLY STAFF WELFARE ASSOCIATION INAUGURATES NEW EXECUTIVE MEMBERS

The Abia State House of Assembly Staff Welfare Association has inaugurated Eight-Man Newly Executive Members today (26/01/2022) led by Comrade Chukwudi Nwankwo as Chairman and others at the Assembly new Constituency lobby.

The Clerk / Permanent Secretary to the House, Sir. Johnpedro Nnamdi Irokansi, Ph.D, while addressing the newly Executive members in his office after their inauguration, charged them to perform their duties diligently with honesty, sincerity, and accountability.

Dr. Irokansi also use the medium to commend the immediate past Executive members led by Comrade Anthony Nwaobilor, for their unrelenting efforts, dedication, and commitment in piloting the affairs of the Association throughout their tenure in the office.

Also, he encourage the newly Executive members to reciprocate the same gesture stressing that he love working with a winning team while congratulating them in their new offices as well as prayed that the Almighty God will give them wisdom and understanding to perform their duties as expected.

Earlier, the newly elected Chairman, Comrade Chukwudi Nwankwo on behalf of his Executive Members, thanked the Clerk / permanent Secretary to the House, Sir. Johnpedro Nnamdi lrokansi, Ph.D, for the words of encouragement he gave to them, adding that the new leadership under his watch, will surely carry everybody along at the same time make him proud.
He also pray that God will continue to bless him with good health and more elevations.

Other members of the Executive include; Comrade Onyechere Williams (Vice Chairman), Comrade Adiele Loveday Azubuike (Secretary General), Comrade Nnamdi Ukauwa (Assist Secretary), Comrade Egwu Ijeoma ( Treasurer), Comrade Obi Victor (Financial Secretary), Comrade Ukaegbu Emeka (Provost), and Comrade Okeh Christopher (P.R.O). Congratulations my people, we are moving.
