The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate missing juvenile, Jamarria Cypress. Last seen on Tuesday July 6, 2021, in the 8300 block of 62nd Ave. She was wearing a greyish/blue polo McDonalds work attire with an apron with yellow strips and denim pants. Her hair is shaved on both sides with a ponytail. Unknown method of travel. Last place of employment was McDonalds located at 9495 108th Ave. Should you know the whereabouts of Ms. Cypress, please contact Public Safety Dispatch at 772-978-6240; regarding case number 2021-91213. Chief Jakari Young and I are announcing an anonymous donor has contributed another $100,000 to the reward for information leading to the arrest of Othal Wallace in the shooting of 26-year-old Daytona Beach police officer Jason Raynor.

The reward now stands at $200,000 total. Anyone with information about Wallace’s whereabouts is asked to contact the DBPD tip line at 386-671-5555, or 911 in an emergency.

The Fellsmere Police Department is accepting applications for the position of school crossing guard. The new crossing guard is expected to be hired and trained in advance of the 2021/2022 school year. The first day of the 2021/2022 school year is August 10, 2021.

This is a 10 hour a week, part time position where the crossing guard is expected to work two hours per school day. The work times are based on the Fellsmere Elementary school commencement and dismissal schedule.

The SY20/21 times are 7:30 am to 8:45 am and 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm.

Salary: $10.00 per hour.
Sick time: 48 hours per year
Vacation time: 40 hours per year

MAJOR FUNCTION
Under general supervision, performs routine traffic control functions in support of activities of the Police Department. Work also involves controlling traffic at an assigned intersection while students cross to and from school. Employees in this position will be responsible for reporting any accidents or unusual circumstances. Reports to the Chief of Police or designee.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
Reports at the beginning and ending of each school day to an assigned intersection; stands in the intersection and holds any traffic at bay while students cross the street. Employee will correct all potential safety concerns or if necessary, report to immediate supervisor. Reports any unusual situation to a supervisor. Performs other work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
No training or experience required to obtain this position but must have the ability to communicate verbally with children and adults and give directions to individuals and groups of people. Must be able to work on an “on-call” basis. Must be physically able to move in and out of the street easily in order to block the traffic. Must be able to work during school hours.

He was possibly seen at MLK Plaza in Gifford on, or about, March1 10, 2021.
