Femme Fatale
A double-exposed self-portrait photo series capturing femininity through the lens of horror. It's intention is to explore the intersections between dissociation, identity, and sensuality. Femme Fatale is an archetypal woman who is gorgeous, mysterious, seductive, and most of all dangerous. This is a photo story project for my class. I came up with this idea after laying around my apartment here in Stockholm. I picked a blank wall, my favorite oversized polo shirt, set my mood light to red and modeled in front of my LUMIX for nearly an hour. In a way, it was somewhat of an improv performance. I was the actor and the prop. The photos were double exposed in post. I love these photos! Exhibition me please!!

It is hard being such a passionate person because it is rare that our energy is matched. I've grown to realize that I cannot expect myself from others. This will never be at my detriment because I create for myself and at the end of the day my efforts will been seen with or without support. Thank you to everyone who continues to encourage me and be my solace. I see you and I'm glad that you see me.

I've been struggling with the idea of selling prints of my artwork. Questions arose which halt my process like will that devalue my original pieces? Will this harm my chances of seeking out investors, galleries, art collectors etc? Though these questions flood my mind, I ask myself who am I doing this for? Who am I making art for? Shouldn't my art be accessible and affordable? It's not like I'm rich myself, I could use the money. It boils down into this self-depreciating believe of what if I'm not good enough? But what is it to be good enough? So, I concluded that maybe it's time for me to start selling art prints. BTW this is my recreation of Future's album cover DS2 made back in 2019. I no longer have the original but I can still make prints, right?
