â¨Turning Your Struggles Into Strength â¨
After practicing this tip for a few years, Iâm convinced light can be found during or after tough times if we choose to look for it.
Thereâs always a lesson from a let down or redirection from a rejection and even the hardest chapters can eventually lead to new stories where something positive or impactful has come from it.
Itâs not always easy but do try it.
Take a moment to pick up a pen, reflect on a bad situation, even if it was years ago and look for even the smallest good that came from it. You may surprise yourself with what you realise.
Even if it takes a while I promise you itâs there.
Some questions to help youâŚ
đ What did you gain from a challenging time?
đ What are you proud of overcoming?
đŤ What good has come from âthe badâ?
Write it down, connecting the two (abc âĄď¸ xyz)
Read it and re-read it as many times as you need.
You will start to notice not only how your mindset shifts but how much better prepared you are when life throws the next curve ballâŚwhich it will and practising this tip you I promise you will make you more ready to face it â¨
What do you think? Will you give it a try? What tips do you have to help build mindset resilience? â¨

Making Space vs. Giving Time: A Subtle but Powerful Difference
I used to think that giving my time to others was an act of kindness and connection but it so often came at a costâŚand I now understand that thereâs a difference between giving our time and making space.
When you give your time, youâre sharing your hours, minutes and energy and itâs so easy to overextend, feel frustrated with the outcome whilst leaving little for yourself.
Remember you and your time are important too!
Making space is a mindset shift were you create a supportive environment on your terms where itâs ok to:
â¨Listen without trying to fix.
â¨Allow someone to just be, without expectation.
â¨Set aside judgment and attachment to the outcome
â¨Accepting moments of our own growth, reflection, or healing without feeling guilty
Making space isnât about doing more itâs about creating a foundation for real connection not exhausting obligation.
Remember: You canât pour from an empty cup, but you can fill your own while still holding space for those you love and care about.
We know itâs not easy but can you relate? â¤ď¸
Itâs a lesson that took me years to learn and one we talk about in our latest âNew Yearâ podcast if you want to take a listen. đď¸â¨

Midlife Muddle: Friendships
While sharing positive experiences is important, I think we need to also address challenges in friendships, not just the highlights.
Iâve often felt hurt and let down over the years and itâs taken a lot of mindset work and shifting my self talk to learn not to be disappointed when I felt I have deserved more from a friendship.
I now know that I get back what I give out but not always in the way I expect.
Let me know if this resonates and share any friendship lessons have you picked up over the years â¤ď¸

WEEK 15 - the power of supporting our elders
1) Increased Life Expectancy: those who actively engage in social interactions with family members tend to have a higher likelihood of living longer compared to those who remain isolated.
2) Improved immunity: As immune systems typically weaken with age, the presence and support of families ultimately contributes to the strengthening of immunity.
3) Boost mental health - Regular interactions with family members and the reassurance of being cared for can significantly reduce feelings of depression and contribute to a more positive mental well-being.
4) Assure life satisfaction: love, support, and encouragement from family members has the power to elevate self-esteem and confidence, fostering a more optimistic perspective on life.
Who else enjoys spending time with the older generation?

DOES THE FEAR OF THE EYE-ROLL STOP YOU? One of the most self-destructive things you can do is allow other peopleâs opinions to control you. Taking midlife action so often attracts negative reactions from those afraid to take action themselves.
