Recording a show in a few minutes with the Tyler McCann, the founder and organizer, he's going to tell us all about the the Beef roundup and their mission to find the best beef in Wyoming!
Coming soon to your favorite podcast platform!

*PRESS RELEASE*

The 3rd Annual Rendezvous City Beef Roundup will take place on Saturday, September 10th, 2022, at the CWC Campus in Riverton, Wyoming.

The Rendezvous City Beef Roundup is designed to bring beef producers and consumers together to celebrate beef, to educate the public on the benefits and sustainability of beef production, and to showcase the exceptional flavor of beef. A ticketed VIP steak tasting dinner will ultimately crown a producer with “Best Beef in Wyoming” and an open division featuring producers from across the U.S. will declare a “Best Beef in the West” winner determined by a Celebrity Judge panel.

This one-of-a-kind event is hosted to help build awareness and access for consumers to local beef, and to create new markets for producers. Not only do they offer educational classes to consumers in the subjects of economic impact and environmental benefits, but they will also teach preparation in pairing and other pertinent topics. The Roundup will provide education to producers on the newest industry practices and technology to improve their direct-to-consumer beef businesses.

General Admission tickets are $20 for individuals (with a $5 food voucher) and $35 for families (with a $10 food voucher). Persons 16 and older will be considered individuals and persons aged 15 and under will fall under the family ticket price. These tickets will allow for entry to the event, access to the booths from vendors and producers, steak sample tastings, entry to the classes and presentations, tours of CWC's Rustler Cattle Company facility, and access to the Best Beef in the West Winner announcement.

There will be a steak and wine pairing class allowing you to sample several of each product given by Amanda Henry from Brown Sugar Coffee Roastery. Tickets for this class will be $20. “The wine pairing class was a favorite of attendees last year,” says Event Coordinator Tasha Messenger. “It was a chance for people to chat, try something new, and learn a little. Amanda hosts a great, laid-back session.”

If you want the full day experience, you can purchase a VIP ticket for $125 (including a $10 food voucher for lunch). This will not only include all General Admission access, but you will also get a custom Roundup cooler bag full of goodies and the opportunity to tour the future home of CWC's Agricultural programs. Best of all, you will become a judge for the Best Beef in Wyoming Competition that will take place during the evening dinner. During dinner (which includes your first drink free), you will be given a score card and served a phenomenal meal that will include cuts of steak from all the participants and sides provided by local suppliers. Each steak sample will be numbered with only the chef knowing which producer belongs to each number until the end when all the results are tallied. There will be an auction during the meal as well and the Best Beef in Wyoming winner will be announced at the end of the evening. There are already numerous beef providers signed up to win the title.

The Roundup has continued to grow substantially with every year, and it is the Committee’s goal to help it eventually become the foremost Beef Producer event in the country.

Tickets can be purchased at www.cwc.edu/roundup.
