Before the Johnson Amendment the churches were ALREADY tax exempt, but this “501-c3 Tax Exemption” has been greatly misunderstood. Here are my notes, and thought as I listen to Mark Taylor’s ‘The Trump Proohecies.”
The tax exemption policy restricts churches from backing a specific political candidate, also
Cannot speak out on issues facing our current society.
However reading further, the church CAN speak for or against these issues for a certain percentage of time of the entire sermon. Seriously!
But the church can enforce voter registration and “get out the votes,” but this doesn’t matter anyway. Why? Because votes don’t count, it’s just a poll. It’s the land-owning, free man of your own right, that make up the electoral college whose votes actually count toward electing Presidents, Senators & Governors. So, until you can prove you are a land owning free man, your vote is just a number in a poll.
Do you want to know why the church agreed with 501-c3? It’s all about money! It was for one reason only. So they could tell you that now what ever you give to “me” is also tax exempt and they could get more money from you, “tax-deductible.”
‘The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.’
