Here are 5 more roles which many people overlook when considering what an independent business owner does, particularly when that is a creative / musician.

Collaborating is a huge one - whether that comes in the form of co-writing, co-producing, co-directing music videos, putting on events, performing with others, re-arranging songs with session musicians, or sound engineers.

Many indie artists also cannot afford formal publicity and conduct this on their own - pitching to radio, newspaper, magazines, online forums and playlists - many hours go in to this work.
