We recently went to India gate for a picnic and yashmit enjoyed a lot there. It is important for kids to go outside and enjoy the nature and surroundings. It helps with their motor skills, helps with their social interaction and promotes physical health. Most importantly, it gives them a chance to try new environments.

My son is not too fond of vegetables is an understatement. But carrot is one thing he loves. Infact, the vegetable vendpr at my mother's place gives an extra carrot everyday to my mother for him only and he never takes any money for that ❤.
🤩 Recently i made gajar ka halwa and it was an instant hit.
🤩 Carrot is loaded with so many nutrients including vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C, fibre and potassium etc.
🤩 Carrots are really good for eyes as they have Vitamin A.
🤩Because of antioxidants in the carrot, they boost the immunity.
🤩 Also, as he likes carrot in the halwa form, it is more beneficial as the milk provides calcium and protein to the baby.
Recipe for gajar halwa/ carrot halwa
Ingredients
[ ] 1 kg carrot 🥕🥕, washed, peeled and grated
[ ] 1 lt. Full cream milk
[ ] 2 tbsp ghee
[ ] 450 gm sugar (can be replaced by brown sugar)
[ ] Dry fruits (as per choice like cashews, almonds, raisins etc.)
[ ] Cardamom powder
[ ] Fresh cream
✨️ Take a pressure cooker and put the grated carrots with little milk and keep it for 2 whistles.
✨️ Next take a thick bottomed pan and put the carrots and milk in it and give it a boil. After the boil comes, keep it on low flame and stir it occassionally so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan or kadhai.
✨️ In a separate pan, take the ghee and roast the dry fruits. Keep it aside once done.
✨️ When the milk has reduced to almost half, add the fresh cream to the mix and keep stirring frequently.
✨️ Once the milk is almost absorbed, add the sugar and keep on stirring. After adding the sugar, keep stirring the .ixture continuously until the milk is completely absorbed.
✨️ When all the milk is absorbed and the halwa separated from the pan, add ghee fried dry fruits and switch off the gas
The gajar halwa is ready.
P.s. 💥instead of fresh cream, khoya can be used.
💥 the use of dry fuits is not mandatory as me n my son likes the halwa without them.
